"Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price". Why do some of you get so salty over ADM? Do you spit in your cashiers face when the NY Strips and Ribeyes went up a few bucks? Is it a rip off now? Toys are more expensive for kids, a $9.99 toy at one place could be $19.99 somewhere else. Do you harp on the store manager there as well? Are you one of those people thinking the housing market is going to crash so all these people paying $30k over asking price are getting taken for a ride in this "sellers market"?

Look, it's not cliche, it's simple supply meet demand. There are more people with more disposable income than ever before, more dual income families with 75%+ more earnings than they've experienced. What you're seeing is a result of "stimulus" coupled with a pandemic, and perfectly timed chip shortages that aren't going away in 2022. No one is getting robbed. If person X wants to pay the price, person X gets the freedom to do so. If person Y doesn't, that's their choice in this free capitalist market. For some, time and convenience is more valuable than research, forums, and calling 40 dealers to catch a $1000 plane ride to spend $800 in gas on the way home and pay double out of state taxes... OOPS YOU JUST PAID ADM...

Love this. Well said.

It’s funny because Ford is so good at what they do with the raptor that they created a prestige (especially with the PP).

Much like porsche and Ferrari and Rolex with limited production runs. Want a GT3? Buy three cars from the same store and maybe we will give you one? Want paint to sample? You have to have a long history or be someone. Oh and to boot it’s 50-150 over depending on what your trying to get.

My Gt3 is still probably 9 months out. And I will happily wait just like I patiently waited for the raptor. They are both worth it.

The dealers will sell every raptor at whatever price they can get. Because the market is willing to pay. Tell a bunch of rich dudes it’s cool and we only are making a few of them and you will sell every one.

That’s great marketing and branding. Because now they have models that cover all net worths.

Now do I want to pay over? Of course not. But that doesn’t mean they won’t sell or that I’m not a buyer.

Roast me, but it’s the truth. People that aren’t buyers are either A too caught up on principal. B can’t afford it. C want to get buried in a casket of cash.

Stop complaining. We made it through 2020 and life is great.

It’s not a limited production vehicle because Ford planned it that way. The “prestige” as you call it was created by the lack of parts. If there wasn’t this lack Ford would turn and burn them.

“Ford is good at what they do”?
Have you seen the cluster Bronco AND Raptor releases? Nothing good about them but as long as people are buying them to impress their neighbours there’s no need to improve. Just jack up prices to take advantage of the so called “rich”.

Yeah. You can’t comprehend even basic concepts of Supply and Demand or what the word Suggested means in Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. Yet you say that I am stupid… I thought you were ignorant, so I tried to explain some basic concepts to you to calm you down, but you can’t even understand those simple things. Ignorance means you don’t know something, which isn’t a bad thing. Stupid means you can’t learn anything. You are demonstrating that, even after being explained very basic concepts of capitalism, which we live in a capitalistic society, none of that sinks in your head. As a result, you are stupid. You are the actual definition of Stupid. You are so stupid, you can’t even use the word correctly when attempting to describe me because you disagree with me.

What “system” are you talking about that people paying over MSRP are breaking?

Your example of a model trim being more common and not worth more is also really off base. Have you heard of a 911? How about a 911 GT2 or a 911 GT3? Do you realize it’s always been relatively easy to get a 911 for MSRP, but a GT2 or GT3 are virtually never sold for MSRP. The same happens with every brand’s premium trim. Raptor included.

Ford has had to shut down their plants repeatedly in 2020 and 2021. Ferrari has been breaking sales records in 2021. Ford hasn’t released production numbers on Raptors, but Ferrari has, and here are the links to their results. The only things we can see about Raptors are how many can you find easily that aren’t spoken for? Let’s use eBay as a simple example. How many Raptor 37 Packages can you find on there? How many 2021 Ferrari’s can you find?

You are worse than stupid. I’ve watched your comments on this forum. You are one of those pathetic backwards twits that give backhanded compliments like, here are all the reasons I think you are wrong and dumb…buddy. Don’t insult someone and finish it up by trying to use words that paint them positively after you’ve just insulted everything you say. It only makes people like you look like disgusting people that are disingenuous and pathetic. People like you just try to pass your garbage opinions off as fact where absolutely nothing you have said is based on any reason or fact.

You are a terrible person. Go away loser.

Yeah, don’t worry. This person thinks Ford builds and controls the ability to build all of these parts themselves. If Fox had the production capacity of Ford, there would be more Raptors. Most people understand that the higher end trims have specialized components built by specialists. Ford didn’t just change the stickers on this and slap a bigger price on it. That person will never understand that, because, as they have demonstrated repeatedly, they lack the ability to comprehend anything beyond, “It’s not fair that I can’t afford this…”. Entitled people never achieve, accomplish, or own anything worthwhile. This person just keeps demonstrates they feel they are entitled to own this, but they can’t, so they complain. This is the true definition of a loser. They offer no facts, just pathetic whining…

Ah thanks for clarifying that I was unaware that the 37 package numbers being low was from lack of parts. I had assumed (dumb me) that it was limited like the carbon package gt500 etc. Was fords initial plan to make them 1/1 to the 35” raptor? Who dropped the ball? Recaro? Or Fox?
