Plus, I didn't have to wait for it and I got a pretty good discount on the '24... win winYou get a whole much for your money on a '24 than a '25. Good choice
I undersand where you're coming from, but working in the IT field this is far from the truth.Yeah, anything you can computerize can be made really cheap. Adding a new software feature is almost free.
You're right. But I will argue that it's directionally correct. Ford ships almost a million F-150s. Adding a hardware feature means design time, test, procurement, assembly, and repair. Let's say it's something really simple, like a new button. Which itself might cost a few pennies. But it causes ripple effects. Changes to the dash, the wiring, connectors, setting up a part number with tracking, buying, installing it, and you probably still need software somewhere to accomplish the function. Compare that to the cost of adding a new softkey. The softkey appears free. It is very close to free.I undersand where you're coming from, but working in the IT field this is far from the truth.
My ‘24 has the new pattern tie down plates that you hook your tie downs to. I found a box under rear seat that I thought were the keyed tie downs; however, were actually the plates that fit the keyed tie downs.Oh wow, they really did change the tie down patterns hey? Seriously.. just Ford on the keyfob, no more Raptor?! I mean the '25 Explorer ST still shows ST on the back..
Definitely post if there is more, curious to see what else they removed that I may have missed.
Speaking of….. anyone have the correct part number for a ‘24 tire lock? I found this one; however, cross referencing tells me it won’t fit on a ‘24. Would also like if the tumblers could be changed….Just saw a '25 in person today at the dealer and saw the changes. Glad for my '24 now! But... you know what Ford excluded on my '24 that is also not on the '25 that I saw? The spare tire lock!!!
Check yours if you have one or not (on '24+)
I hope you called Ford directly and told them how sh1tty their QC was. Thank God those factory workers are getting paid all that money their worth.Took a closer look today before taking to lake house...and Ford QC at work. Lower part of Raptor sticker is completely missing on right hand side! Terrible dealer PDI and Ford QC.

Not wasting my time--they know it's sheety.I hope you called Ford directly and told them how sh1tty their QC was. Thank God those factory workers are getting paid all that money their worth.![]()
Well, good the dealer took care of it for you, but still, never should have happened. Those graphics look amazing on that color, nice! Not wasting my time--they know it's sheety.
Dealer ordered sticker and sent to me. Sticker was probably cost them $1, shipping $50 (it's a large box as shipped flat), and time probably a few hundred $$. All could have been saved if those amazing overpaid assembly workers at Ford would actually care about their job--but they don't.
