I don’t get why it’s such a big deal. I ordered in September. In production 2/12
Delivery I would guess April. Which is pretty much what I expected. Have never called the dealer once.
Well, it isn’t for a lot of people and that’s fine. For me, I sold my primary truck six weeks ago based on a ETA that was false. We are going into the second qtr of 2024 and the F150‘s are just starting to be delivered to dealers and waiting buyers. I need my truck not for looks, but to do stuff. To me, that’s why it’s a big deal. if you have five vehicles to choose from while you are waiting then good for you, but I need mine. I have always bought from the lot and haven’t went through this order process and I never thought it would take so long and not provide the dealer and buyers some valid ETA. I have two hunting/fishing trips coming up in April that I may have to cancel if I don’t have the truck. It’s a big deal for me.

Damn man they led me astray here. I asked if they have allocations and can order when I did. They confirmed and said they can order for me. I just pressed them on the allocation and waiting to hear back
Don't feel bad, I had multiple dealerships do that to me when i was looking for a ranger raptor. Ask other dealerships in your area to see if they have allocations and place an order with them

Just sucks I’ve waited 3 months just to restart if that’s the case

Did you at least obtain a Retail COVP Enrollment approval indicating that the Order was accepted? That doesn't guarantee allocation or scheduling but at least provides proof the Dealership did submit it. If you have a VIN then the lookup tool will work, but if you don't see the term "Special Order" it's not yours, it’s likely a stock order. Best of luck.
I don’t know what any of that is so I’ll have to ask. I was told they don’t get a vin until the order is pulled by ford to build. But I did a 1k down deposit

Some guys here that work at dealerships can correct me if I’m wrong, I sometimes watch Long McArthur videos on Facebook and he states beginning of the months dealerships know their allocations for that month so best bet would be poke around next week or so with others to see who has any. If the $1k is refundable I would see where else to make deposit another $1k and see what order gets accepted first. My rep has been horrible lol younger kid but he means well just the emails he sends I need someone to translate them lol

look at it this way, if that dealership doesn't have an allocation yet and you find one that does, you're already in a better position. Doesn't hurt to call around and ask

It’s a strange way to do business, that’s for sure … guys order on day 1 and the truck is stuck somewhere in the process …. I order 1/9… I’m picked up, built and shipped already …. Expecting delivery in the next couple days…. Its not a fair process…

Can anyone confirm for me. I placed my order 2-3 months ago with a dealer. They said the truck hasn’t been selected for a build date still so they aren’t available to give the vin and info until the build is scheduled. It looks like most are getting shipment confirmation of their truck about 2 months after the build date. Does this all seem normal for how your procedures went? Thanks!
My order went in Nov 21st and at this point still have nothing. Ford chat says they’ve received the order but not in production or scheduled yet. Nothing! So frustrating.

Understandable. Any reason you didn’t wait to trade your truck in on Raptor?
I seen a lot of people in the same situation over Covid.
I definitely don’t have 5 vehicles. Been driving my work car and a new Duramax at work when I need a truck. Well, I still use that when I need a real truck anyway.
