Probably one or a mix of a few things
1) it’s not actually gone, communication just got lost in the shuffle of making 801a standard and not offering it on the raptor r
2) the learnings from the raptor R program informed the engineers that they could get the same or better results from programming the brakes, communication got lost for same reasons above. They were very upfront about not including on the R, nearly every review highlighted/commented on it.
3) it was a pure commodity deletion and they didn’t think or deliberately were not clear in materials (worst outcome but i think this is least likely, as they clearly spent dev resources on getting the brake lock system tuned for the R)

Agreed that Ford pulled a fast one...again. I had an order in for a 23 in Rapid Red at msrp., but cancelled when I found my 22 in Velocity Blue. I didn't realize they dropped the Torsen and would've been angry had I found out later.

Having said that, for most Raptor buyers it probably won't matter. If you're one of those who rarely, if ever, does any extreme off roading, you may never miss it. For those who are into extreme off roading where a front locker matters, you're probably using the wrong vehicle anyway.

Let the flames begin...lol.

Velocity blue wasn't an option on 22's

Well here is a non-Torsen. Not much help here as the one part number is the same, the other sticker is different in mine starting with 236277, not sure if that means anything.

Your right, some will care some won’t, but we pay a premium for a specialty vehicle so you expect specialty features. Then to raise the price is insulting.

If someone with a 21 or 22 with Torsen could snap a pic of the front diff that would be helpful, if it says 4T10 I guess that can confirm it.

honestly front torsen on ice is super sketch in some instances because its a crap shoot as far as when the wheel speed variance is enough to kick in. Torque steer out of nowhere.

Used to drive an Evo VIII with Torsen front, viscous center, and rear clutch pack. Was not crazy to control on ice, and obviously used to “torque steer”.
