Hi,

I hope you're all having a wonderful day / night, i have recently gotten into doing some of the easier maintenance work on my Raptor R by myself at home, and i just hit 50k (km) so i thought i would try my hand at changing the superchargers oil, i have a subscription to the ford service catalog
but no matter what i search i simply can not find anything about changing the oil, am i mistaken in assuming there is oil to change anyway?

does the supercharger run dry or does it take oil from the engine?

would love if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

Added a picture i recently had taken of the car and quite liked.

It’s not a video, it’s a link to the correct fluid to use.
I understand, it's just that within that link there is a guide on changing the fluid, and it's for a different supercharger, the Lightning / Cobra / 2008-14 GT500 uses a different type of supercharger.

It uses oil to lube the big straight cut gear on the end of each rotor. Those gears are what make the supercharger whine when you get into boost.

You are likely going to have to vac it out and refill when it comes time to service. S/C oil is some rank stuff. Stankiest of the gear oils.

Raptor R blower is liquid cooled, so the gear oil should last a decent amount of time.

Just take the blower off if its not accessible. The IC needs cleaned at that point anyways.
