So 4.4s 0-60 is what we know? And Ford claims it will work, tow and carry payload. Obviously and as expected, Ford wants it to appeal to most of its current customers in the looks department. Then again this is just a start. I think Tesla’s dual motor truck was 0-60 @ 4.6s So they are on par with speed anyway.

Haven’t seen this yet, interesting. I know they said it was all independent suspension.
Kinda kills my interest in building one with a race kit, 40s, kings, etc. guess I’ll stick to a KR or a platinum to do that. Will be interesting to see what levels of electric they have.

Looks to be purely a street truck or limited all around type of truck. Travel looks short and nothing for serious off roading. I guess I’m time more models will surely be produced.

Plot twist...

the Lightening is just an electric Raptor.

who else would buy it if it has 500 mile range and 0-60 in <4 seconds?

It's not just range but time to charge up as well. Sure, I'd want to be able to get from Houston to Dallas on a single charge, but it's not that great if I had to wait two days for it to charge back up. The reality is that I would likely have to leave the Lightning at home and use a second vehicle I own or rent something for the trip. And if I have 2 vehicles, I want the bigger vehicle to be ICE, and the smaller/daily commute vehicle to be EV. I personally would feel like a moron if my only vehicle was an EV and I had to rent something else every time I wanted to leave town.

Will see after tonight, but this doesn't feel like a very practical vehicle, not right now. If you want fast and efficient, don't get a truck. But EV trucks have to start somewhere if they are ever going to become practical vehicles.
