For what its worth, I initially ran my factory 3.0s on my gen 2 at 1.5” of lift and disliked how quickly and violently they hit full top out in the downtravel. Adding preload puts more pressure on the shock when it hits full top out so its going to be more violent. And taking away down travel from the stock setting is noticeable offroad. On road it makes no real difference as you’re not cycling the suspension to its limits.

Anyways I lowered the preload to 0.75” of lift and it was way better. Note that was just 3/8 on the collars.

Your experience may vary, but i suggest doing your homework as these are not easy or cheap adjustments

My point exactly, too much spring force is NO BUENO!

Finally had my Eibach lift springs and 17” Methods with 37” BF Goodrich K02 C rating. I am more than pleased with the results.
Wheels set is only a couple pounds more than the stock set of rims/tires. methods are 0 offset so about 18mm proud of stock. Looks excellent!

It raised the front 2.5” and the rear 3” (about 1” for the larger 37” tires and the rest from the Springs) and 2.5” at the door shadow line.

Refreshing the “lean” discussion, anyone else getting any gas tank clean after swapping in aftermarket springs?
