2020 Sync 3 Update

Mine shows version 3.0 as available. I'm in a 2017 does that make a difference?

From my experience, don't even attempt to upgrade via USB if you only have a Mac computer. The operating system adds hidden files/folders that prevent the update from loading. Was able to load it using a Windows PC, but still took several tries to make it load. Recommend if you're still under warranty to ask the dealer to perform the update when you get your next overpriced oil change. Tell the service representative that Sync periodically freezes and doesn't respond and that should get the latest version installed for free.

Did the download last night from my mac to a flashrive, having issues loading to my rig today. Might have to go to the dealership.

done 2 or 3 usb upgrades using Mac... successfully

Yea any chance they updated CarPlay to work wirelessly? That would be huge.

Wireless CarPlay? Lol I’d be in heaven but, that sounds like a dream that’s not coming through. Actually very few vehicles offer this.

I’d install a wireless charging pad then.

Can always dream cant we? Hey if BMW can do it on a 3 series why cant Ford do it on a $60k+ truck
