2020 Handling improvements?

Even with good tire pressure (about let's say 35 PSI) the rear behavior won't be excellent. Mine is stock, and rear bounce and dance since day one (truck was new) The OEM leaf spring are not high quality and it can be good to make a switch for Deaver or something else. But definitely need to do something for a better ride from rear. The must is 5 links gen 3 ( may be one day for my 20's I will do) Also ,set the skocks harder as sport mode for exemple help a little !

I run factory tire pressure and a hellwig rear bar. Mines a SCAB tho so probably handles different on its own.

Even you hard nose off-roaders know for a street truck like his is, that less tire side wall will improve his handling. I know you hate 20’s, but that’s the fix.
Try finding someone who has a set you can try or drive a truck with 20’s. It’s truly amazing how much more agile and planted it feels on pavement.

I know the Hellwig rear sway bars make a huge difference. I’ll play with the tire pressure then I may make a purchase.

You are right, my platinum had 20s. I know the 20s will make a difference, but I’ll probably upgrade once Ford does a refresh in 2024. I didn’t want to invest but so much into this truck.

If you’re truly not going to off-road w/ it could look into getting a rear sway bar - I think hellwig makes one for the Raptor

IMO the Raptor handles great for what it is, I also would suggest running it w/ the following setup (assuming you’re on stock tune) - 4A, TC off, sport mode - should also help make it handle better on street

Is the truck at stock ride height? No mods? Even if it’s stock it wouldn’t be a bad idea to recalibrate the ride height sensors, which can be done with ForScan.

The sketchy rear end is mostly fixed by replacing the rear ****** leaf springs with Deavers... a rear sway bar won't help that one bit. Ford really shit the bed with their choice of rear springs for this truck. It is literally the single WORST OEM part on the entire truck.

The truck is completely stock. I can’t speak for the Raptor but the rear sway bar made a huge difference in my Platinum.

I just took the truck for a ride and the change to 34 psi made a difference.

The pressure does… and there is a thread here about the sway bar making a significant improvement on road. I also considered getting one and just dropping it when I plan to play off road.

I went ahead and purchased a DSC Sport Controller ($1400) for my 2019 802A Screw, which is plug and play and does a great job of improving the handling, especially in sport mode. You can also tailor the suspension to exactly how you like it with the program's pc interface. Very happy with it.
