2020 4runner, buyers remorse

Have had a new vehicle for about 3 months now, and I have a bit of buyers remorse. Wish I would have sprung for the Raptor. Now buying my time until I can make the switch after enough time has elapsed so my whole family won't call me crazy for not liking a brand new car.

Anyone had a similar situation? Any luck trading in a quasi new car and not losing your @ss?

My wife bought a pathfinder thinking it was like the old one we had with a body on frame and a standard transmission. The new one sucked. After three months she couldn’t take it anymore and dumped it with Car Max. Took a decent sized loss of $4,000. Sometimes you just have to take the medicine...

I traded in my 2012 raptor for a 2015 Tahoe. It was fine but I missed the raptor and couldn't wait to get another one. Made it 22 months with the Tahoe before I bought my 2017 Raptor. Would have been sooner but I refused to pay $7500 over MSRP so I waited until I found the truck and deal I could live with.i lost my ass on the Tahoe.

The 4runners have excellent resale. I would look into it because you should not lose much on your 4runner. If a ford dealer does not treat you right on a trade, a toyota dealer might buy it from you outright. Either way, the 4runner has the second best resale after the tacoma.

i'm in a similar boat. bought a 2019 4runner TRD pro brand new, and loved it at first. the lack of power and creature comforts ate away at me, and in january i traded it in for a used 2018 CPO. i did lose some money, but thats to be expected. i had the 2019 for about 15 months and put 20k miles on it. i got 41 for the trade which i was honestly happy with. good luck on the search!
