What I don’t understand is why the cam phaser issue is still happening 2-3 years after it was first discovered. 2019’s are subject to the failure just like 2017 and 2018’s were. Vendor quality control issue?
Sounds like a part supplier issue that pops up from time to time. My early build 2017 hasn't had this issue in 35K miles so far.

What I don’t understand is, why the 1911 still jams after over 100 years of (not really) perfecting the design and function.

Yeah. I've also noticing that for those that get the problem once, seem likely to get it again. I'm seeing more and more repeat offenses, which indicates something is going on that is causing the failure, but is not getting rectified with the service. Most likely oil flow to the phasers.

when people keep buying faulty stuff, companies keep selling them. Simple logic

I would guess the trucks that have the issue twice have a deeper engine fault (even more rare) wihch causes the new parts to fail again. Could also be the tech just did a bad job the first time.

I haven't seen any posts that had the issue 3 times yet!
