Just turned over 10K on my '17, no issues so far either. Curious, how often do you drive yours...daily, 1-2x/week or ?? Reason I ask is that on another thread, someone mentioned that with prolonged sitting, the phasers may be oil-starved at initial start-up or something to that effect. I really only drive mine for fun, I use my Tacoma as my daily driver. But when I do start it after a week or more of sitting (yeah, yeah, I know...), I'll let it crank w/the gas pedal fully pressed (to prevent starting) for 10 seconds to 'prime' the lube system. Let it sit for a few moments, then start normally. So far no issues, but pretty low miles overall as well, and I'm keeping a close eye (Ear??) on their performance. No issues on start-up, no issues at WOT running up to freeway speed + maybe just a little extra...ha.

No prolong setting. Daily driver. Average 25k a year on my trucks. Don’t pamper it when driving on or off-road either. Always serviced by dealer every 5k!
Thanks

Hey chase when was your 2019 built ?
I just took delivery of mine last month. It was built in feb. I hear a slight ticking noise on cold start ups but goes away shortly after. What symptoms are I’m looking for when the cam phasers go bad? Thank you

Ordered the day the order banks open. I will verify but if memory serves me correct my truck was completed in 1/19 and delivered early March. I have the recaros and bead locks so it was delayed some.
Thanks

The 17 and 19 both had a bad thrashing during cold start and a ticking noise at idle.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. My 2019 went to the dealer on a tow truck for a bad TCM and 3 weeks after getting it back it failed on the freeway because of a bad ground.

Zero confidence in this truck with my family in it!

Spoke by phone to two different Ford reps yesterday. One was not pleasant at all but the other was very understanding of my frustration and is willing to help all they can and review some options. When all is said and done my wishes are that I can say Ford did the right thing and took good care of me. My truck should be finished by Tuesday. Love this truck and I hope the 3rd time is the charm.
Thanks

All makes have their issues- nothings perfect. My ‘15 GMC left me stranded on family vacation about 500 miles from my home when the starter shit the bed @ 34k Miles

That truck also had a lil of the Chevy shake, 3rd brake light leak & stain headliner, dropped couple lifters due to AFM crap, had to replace some injectors & an oxidized/seized fuel rail that was damaged during the repairs for the other stuff.

The infotainment just stoped functioning, would behave as if a ghost were randomly tapping the touch screen & would jump all around between menus- good thing I had steering wheel controls.

This was on a fully loaded crew cab 4x4 SLT trim all terrain w/ 6.2 that stickered for almost $60k
