Funny, i literally was at the dealer today to order a 2018 SCAB and they werent able to put it in. Something along the lines of Ford not accepting any more orders for 2018's.
Worth waiting a few months to order a 2019?
Ford is still taking orders, I spoke to someone today that placed their order for a 2018. The dealer you spoke to most likely ran out of allocation.
I figured. First time actually going through a dealer to order a vehicle so i took their word for it. Probably just didnt want me shopping somewhere else...but i guess it worked lol. Just wish i was was a fan of the SCREW since they are widley available but its too long for my needs.
When do you think we will get official news from Ford of the 2019 specs? And how long after an order is placed do people get their Raptors? Ive seen anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months but im trying to get an idea of what the norm is.

Do you really think they would lie to you? A car sales person? No, most honest people out there. Real salt of the earth type.... Think about it, if they have that kind of inventory sitting on their lot and they can't move it, going from a $10K ADM to $5K ADM as the trucks sit there, don't you think they'd say buy one of these we can't move because you "can't" order any more 2018s? Sounds like he has at least 11 reasons to lie to you...I was just old this weekend by the largest F150 dealer in Texas that the 2018 Raptor ordering was closed. He has 11 Raptors on his lot and 31 with generic stock photos listed on his website that were "in transit". With that amount of allocations, I am not sure why the salesman and his sales manager would lie about not being able to order more.
I was asking because most of his are loaded with features I do not want or need. (Moon roof, carbon fiber, black wheels, graphics on hood, etc. which adds $4K to the price) Their best offer was MSRP for the ones on the lot, so I told them I would come back when their pricing came down a little further. Two months ago they were at $10K ADM and last month they were at $5K over, so their pricing is starting to fall.

With that many on the lot, why WOULDN'T they lie to you? If you had 11 Raptors on your lot 2-3 months away from 2019 order banks opening up, would you want to order a 12th or sell one of the 11 you already have?
Lo and behold, they were both lying through their teeth!
I received the generic email from their General Manager and Managing Partner thanking me for stopping by their dealership over the weekend and asking if there was anything he could do to earn my business. I replied thanking his team for letting me test drive a Raptor. I also mentioned my "confusion" as to why his salesman and sales manager told me the ordering for the 2018 Raptors was closed when the information online indicated 2018 F150s can be ordered until 08.10.2018.
Within 20 minutes, I received an email from the lying sales manager saying "he checked with Ford this morning and found out he still *can* order a 2018 Ford Raptor!". He wanted me to know that he would help anyway he could to place my order as quickly as possible. Imagine that!
I told him no thanks...
