The salesman gives the priority code. Delivery also depends on things like when "OK to buy" takes place. That's 5 consecutive days with no major screw ups. If that happens, the 5 day cycle keeps repeating until they get it right. Meanwhile, all the built trucks sit in lots waiting. If they discover problems that require them to come back from what I've read is they pull them from the back of the line and your order that was first built in the front of the line is now at the back of the line. Realistically, it's not likely many will hit dealers before December.

When did the 2018’s start showing up? December 2017?

Job #1 was 7-17-17, so probably early September.

What are these “soft touch parts” of which you speak?
I have a GT350 and it has soft touch door panels that you don't get on a regular Mustang GT... might be available on a premium package or as a standalone item on the GT but it's standard on the GT350. The regular panels are literally hard textured plastic all the way up to the window sills. The soft touch panels feel mostly the same but it's has a slight squish to it. Thick vinyl with 1/16" foam under it maybe??? Comfortable to the touch but adds weight. Assuming they didn't include blind spot monitoring or parking sensors due to weight... I would have preferred to have those vs soft touch doors. LOL!

Just checked my priority code. They have me listed at 19... which I was told I’m #1 on their list but according to this forum it’s not true unless there is going to be a wait on certain options of the build. I’ll ask my guy today and we shal see what he says

What do you guys think? It’s one of the largest dealerships in Michigan not sure if that matters

You should be OK as long as your dealer's priority codes start at 19. I thought someone wrote on a previous post that the actual number doesn't matter as long as you're the lowest number at your dealer. My dealer could start at 50 but as long as no one else has a lower number than I'm first.

Oooh okay, i guess that makes sense. I was under the assumption it starts at 10 and 19 would be a long wait (obviously don’t know how long) . Good to know it’s dealer relative

Please see post #716. It explains priority codes that are given. I would have re-posted it but it's long.

It’s dealer related. It’s been posted and explained several times. Dealers priority codes they could use 90-99 or 10-19 it doesn’t matter, they get notice Wednesday’s they are getting 1/2/3/4/5 allocations, they put in the builds they want, if they don’t they get pulled in order from 1-99 that they have listed. With no order bank scheduling yet there 10 order will get pulled so I’m sure it’s for another vehicle
