Observation: I traveled on I-80 through the midwest, multiple states, yesterday for 8 hours and saw 50 plus transport trucks and some that were down right nasty. Transport and all vehicles totally covered in white salt brine. I live in the midwest and we wash our cars when they look like that as soon as we can. In this case these new vehicles could be exposed to this for weeks on end as they sit on transport trucks.
Maybe that explains why the trucks I was going to buy last week manufactured on 1-11 looked like it was from the junk yard. And the 16 Lariat I returned to Ford due to extensive rust with 15 miles on it. I'll be waiting until summer to trade my 18 for a 19.

The train is moving. Ford Chat now says it is in WY, was in NE as of yesterday. Weird coincidence but a person at the gym I work out who drives a 17 Raptor said his brother is an Engineer for a cargo rail company in CO. Apparently the trains are having difficulties with all the snow conditions and certain trains have priority, while others are backed up. I asked him to tell his brother to make the train from Detroit priority #1.

Looking at the map, if its on a Union Pacific Train, it will head into UT, NE and CA

I paid invoice and I am in the northeast BUT I do have a great/special relationship with my dealership. Regardless my dealership will order you a scab at MSRP any day you want and do so with no deposit required. And they have two 2019 scabs on their lot now. :)

I don't really consider VA the Northeast. I live in CT about 30 min from NYC. When I ordered it in March 2018 no dealer was giving MSRP anywhere around.

Yes I am in va but my dealer is if Rochester ny. Does that qualify as in the north east?

Technically it does, but i was referring more to the NYC tri-state area. Very different market compared to the rest of NY. I always try and purchase a vehicle at the dealership I want to service it with.

Look, at the time when I ordered, no dealers were giving discounts and were actually charging premiums. I called and visited over 10 dealers. My dealer ended up ******** me and bumping my order. It worked out anyways because I found a dealer in Kentucky that gave it to me for $2500 below MSRP. Great dealership that really can't take the blame for Ford with their flawed system.

We get it, Ford didn't deliver your truck on the *estimated* date and you're upset. But honestly, how efficient do you expect the logistics of shipping something that pushes 6,000lbs in weight across the continent to be? There are a LOT of variables that go into that estimate. (Read: I used the word estimate twice)

Let me give you another example. I built a house in 2017, something that cost me 10x what my new fully equipped Raptor did. The close date was pushed back almost two months. I wasn't happy about it, but I also understood that I chose to build my house through a production builder, not a custom builder. Had I gone through a custom builder, the deadline would have been more exact, given their business model and volume.

You're still trying to compare your experience with niche luxury automotive companies to a fleet volume based manufacturer. So sorry to say this, but your expectations are of your own making.
