May have to go in to the dealer on Monday to see what's going on with mine. Still unscheduled/clean as of today, ordered on 10/30. Even Ford Performance said it was a little weird that it hasn't been given a build date yet

Why are you guys placing orders now... or still waiting on orders. 2019's are flooding dealers everywhere. A search within 200 miles of me shows 119 available. Plus you can haggle with dealers if the truck is on the lot.

I ordered at the end of October, when trucks starting hitting lots in January, I considered canceling. Truck came in end of January and I refused it on the spot after seeing PB in person. Got my deposit back, and hit the car listing sites looking for a better color combo and a better deal. Found one for $4500 off MSRP, and another $500 less in dealer fees!

Three reasons:

1) Its cheaper
2) I get what I want
3) I order in the winter so it arrives in late winter or early spring, if its late no big deal, never happened to date.

I can get a better deal ordering then buying a 2019 on the lot. Once it hits the lot the Dealer has money in it, they simply cannot sell it cheaper unless they are prepared to take a loss. Same Dealer I bought from is selling 18's for the same price or more then the 19 I ordered. I order every new model year vehicle for this very reason. I learned this lesson from a old car salesman, he could order me a new model year for $500-1000 over cost, the same year model (on the floor) he would sell for $3000-5000 over cost. P.S. these are REAL numbers, no relationship to MSRP or Dealership generated paperwork.

Finally got the call! Ordered on 9/15. Build day 1/22. Delivery scheduled for this afternoon and pickup on Saturday. Estimated delivery was 2/10 so it arrived a few days early to NY.
PERF Blue SCREW, 802a, Tech, Recaro, BL and Spray In.
Will post again on Saturday.

Does the tracker say delivered? What was the eta?

I have no reason to doubt your experiences, but your comment about a dealer taking a loss after its on the lot... has me at a loss. You do know that Raptors sold at MSRP are about a $7000-8000 profit ($5-6k above invoice, and $2k dealer holdback). That's is among... if not the highest of any other vehicle they sell. The only money that they do not have in an ordered vehicle is listing costs which are minimal.

You should always have an advantage purchasing a lot vehicle... you have the leverage. They are now competing against other dealers, managing inventory levels, time to sell metrics, and facing end of month/qtr/year sales pressures. When you order, you surrender all of your leverage. You want what they have and are committed to them to provide it.

I had never heard of this trade in sales tax deduction deal that is available in some states before reading some posts on this forum. So for me, it has always been that you pay full sales tax on the sale price of the vehicle.

If you want a specific options, or if you want a "deal" you have to be willing to travel. My searches are always in a 500 mile radius, and I sort on the closest to me, with the options I want. Then you email dealer after dealer and make your case for a price below MSRP... then use that price as leverage for a dealer closer to you. Not all will play... that's why you have to be willing to travel save thousands.

Check with FP chat this morning they said it was in Albuquerque, NM, then at noon my guy at the dealership sends me this! Whoop! Picking it up Saturday, DDP put me on green!!

Question for all of you who placed orders. I’m ordering a ‘19 from an out of state dealer. I sent them the build sheet and negotiated price. They sent me an invoice for the agreed upon value of my build, however, the invoice just shows my info and price/deposit. Nothing about the build/options on it. Is that typical? Shouldn’t there be an official build or order with all options listed?
