Anyhow coming from high end cars I just expected that if I am spending 72k on a truck (flagship mind you) that I would get better service. I just hope taking the car in for service would be better experience.

I’ll post picks once she is in my hands.
Service was a shock for me coming from BMW. I bought a new 550 a few years ago and they treated me great, but there were still a few times they didn’t call me back when they said they they would. I finally found a service advisor that was top notch. My A/C went out 3 times, the last outside of warranty and they still covered it. He also told me where to get the best deal on tires, where to have a rim polished out, etc. just top notch service from him, but not all of them.

I had a rocky start with Ford when I bought my 14 Raptor last April. The service waiting room and offices looked like they hadn’t been updated since the 90s (they are updating them now). Had the usual did not call me back when they said they would complaints. Then I started working with their head manager. Can’t say enough about the service now. The office still looks like crap, but Jerry took care of my rear window defrost when ford wouldn’t and also took care of one other issue (bought it Certified and added their top warranty plan). The defrost stopped working right after CPO ran out and there was BS that it wasn’t covered because it was in the window. I suppose He could of made up the story that the warranty didn’t cover it, but I didn’t wind up paying for anything. He has also gone above and beyond getting me in when needed.

Bottom line - the shop looks dated and still won’t be as nice as BMW once it is finished, but once you find the right service advisor the level of service has been the same in my experience.

I just called. Mine is sitting in Mesquite and waiting to be loaded on a truck - ETA is tomorrow through Saturday.

Cutting it close. Still gonna try to make it to Texplex, or not gonna run it being so new? I wouldn't blame you for wanting to break it in - didn't go out of Normal mode until I hit 1000 on the odometer.

Haven’t decided yet, but it does not look like I will make it based on timing. I won’t have the opportunity to get it on Friday so if I don’t pick it up by Thursday, it is definitely a no go. They are spaying in a bed liner and tinting the windows so it would have to be there by Wednesday morning to have any chance.

As far as waiting and breaking it in, I am undecided. You read posts for and against. I can tell you that I didn’t not wait anytime on my BMW to get on it.

I think TexPlex would “labor” the engine.

After 27 days of waiting for an update.

The zone Rep emailed my guy and said
“The vehicle has seat issues and needs to be repaired, they haven’t given an update to ship, once they know they’ll contact me and let me know”

I’m glad it took only 27 days for them to give me a heads up.

My friend who has an 18, felt that the computer would not let him fully get on it until he hit the 500 mile mark. He is an x rally car driver, so I trust what he says.

Fascinating. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I remember intentionally not putting it into sport or baja mode as I didn't want to rev that high during break-in. Could run in Deep Snow/Sand (smh) tho, I would think, or even normal mode. Man, you're in a tough position (assuming you get it Thursday)

The stock interior when you order the carbon fiber package does not include the new carbon fiber around the vents, its silver. Confirmed at the AZ auto show yesterday.
