Service was a shock for me coming from BMW. I bought a new 550 a few years ago and they treated me great, but there were still a few times they didn’t call me back when they said they they would. I finally found a service advisor that was top notch. My A/C went out 3 times, the last outside of warranty and they still covered it. He also told me where to get the best deal on tires, where to have a rim polished out, etc. just top notch service from him, but not all of them.Anyhow coming from high end cars I just expected that if I am spending 72k on a truck (flagship mind you) that I would get better service. I just hope taking the car in for service would be better experience.
I’ll post picks once she is in my hands.
I had a rocky start with Ford when I bought my 14 Raptor last April. The service waiting room and offices looked like they hadn’t been updated since the 90s (they are updating them now). Had the usual did not call me back when they said they would complaints. Then I started working with their head manager. Can’t say enough about the service now. The office still looks like crap, but Jerry took care of my rear window defrost when ford wouldn’t and also took care of one other issue (bought it Certified and added their top warranty plan). The defrost stopped working right after CPO ran out and there was BS that it wasn’t covered because it was in the window. I suppose He could of made up the story that the warranty didn’t cover it, but I didn’t wind up paying for anything. He has also gone above and beyond getting me in when needed.
Bottom line - the shop looks dated and still won’t be as nice as BMW once it is finished, but once you find the right service advisor the level of service has been the same in my experience.
