To me the Raptor is the suspension and shocks, not the motor. Share the wealth as far as I'm concerned.

This also brings us one step closer to the V8 being dropped from the F-150 line. Make the HO available in the Lariat and above and almost no one would order the V8.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal. The raptor still has a completely different purpose, so who cares if it has the same hp/tq. If you want luxury and need to tow, get the 70k limited. If you want luxury with aggressive styling and offroad capability, get the 70k raptor. I didn't really hear a bunch of complaints when the motor went in the new navigator.

You could always tune your truck if you're not happy.

From would I've read so far, the towing numbers on the new Limited will be lower than other F-150's. For someone looking for a street truck only, the Limited will be a nice choice possibly at a little lower price.

What was surprising though is that the standard 3.5 eco-boost out ran the raptor in 0 to 60 runs. They switch drivers and ran the 0 to 60 run again. The F1 50 Actually won convincingly. Keep in mind the raptor weighs 700 pounds more. I’m wondering just how fast that limited is going to be? I mean to already beat the raptor convincingly with the standard 3.5 eco-boost? Wow! Watch the video

My last truck was a limited and had the same motor, 6.2L, as the Gen1 Raptor. I doubt its existence had any impact on that generation's values.

One reason I didn't consider another Limited was the pukey faux wood they do now. Mine had a textured grey finish, almost carbon fiberish. With the big wheels that truck felt sportier than a Platinum.

Quite honestly, I don't really 'need' a Raptor. Other than having a steep drive-way it doesn't exactly get taken to its limits very often (ever). I just bought it because it's BADASS looking, inside and out! :happy107:

I'm all for it. Give the bling truck the bling engine so all the bling lovers will buy it and leave the offroad truck for the offroad people.

Anything that might get Jake off the forum is nothing but goodness incarnate.

The turbo / pistons / exhaust manifold / cooling is still different on the raptor vs. the 2019 limited

I think the turbo / pistons / exhaust manifold should be the same as the raptor, well everything actually except the cooling part!
