Does the truck have "lane departure/keeping system"? if so try turning it off.

on F150 I would say steering rack, but just FYI on superduties this is caused by a siezed ball joint alot. 1999-2010 the most common. just saying. If you remove the tie rod end from from the steering knuckle the knuckle should then swing full sweep rather easy, new ball joints maybe 10lbs of force, ball joints with a few miles about 2lbs of force.
The truck does have lane departure/keeping system. I have tried driving with this on and off. No changes with either. When driving with auto cruise control and lane keep the truck bounces back and forth between the lanes and most times is unable to keep the truck between the lanes either.

does this truck steer with the throttle? such as pulls one way or the other under accel/decel?
The truck does not pull from a stop to acceleration. Once you hit 60mph it starts to feel loose and almost like a magic carpet sensation. Constantly requiring to steer left and right to keep the truck tracking straight.

Do this at your own risk, but as a *last* resort you can remove the fuse to the Power Steering rack and re-evaluate the issue in an unpopulated area. If it tracks dead straight, you’ll know the rack is damaged.

This is a good idea. I could try this out on the farm roads by my hunting property. Do you know which fuses runs this system and if the truck will still go into drive with this unplugged?

Yes that's what I'm getting at.. my truck had a loose ubolt in the back and at highway speed if you gently accelerate it would require some steering.. didn't really notice it much around town.. could be a bad leaf spring bushing or loose ubolt

Ubolts stretch with off road use...

It will still go into drive, you’ll just get the Power Steering Assist Fauly/Service Required message.

You’ll want to remove fuses F18 (10A) and F106 (125A) in the BJB under the hood (ignition off).

How I describe it to people who have never felt it is this.

You know when your wife asks you to move the couch and in the final adjustment she says a little to the left and when you push the couch it slides 3 times to far and then going right it does the same until you do it 5 times to get ti just right. Well that is how driving something like this is except it never stops. It is very tiring mentally and physically. a 25 mile drive will wear you out more than a 500 mile drive.

This is exactly it!! And the other gen 2 and gen 3 trucks I have driven are not like this. Any ideas on how to resolve?

Per my first post, steering rack or a seized ball joint. Kind of doubt the ball joint on an F150, but it is possible. Go back to a couple of my posts and I explained how to check the ball joints for being to tight.

Thank you so much for the information. I will test the ball joints first. Any suggestions on the steering rack? Ford I'm sure will not cover under my bumper to bumper warranty. Is there any way to test the rack?
