I just read through this thread and unless I missed it, entirely possible, I don't see the OP followed advice to pull the fuses for steering rack. Weird.

Seems to be a reoccurring theme these days.

It will still go into drive, you’ll just get the Power Steering Assist Fauly/Service Required message.

You’ll want to remove fuses F18 (10A) and F106 (125A) in the BJB under the hood (ignition off).
