I recently asked my dealer LHM here in Utah what it would cost to trade my 2018 (802a) Raptor with 11,000 miles for a 2020 model.. the bottom line difference was 16.8k before taxes..
My co-worker Gen-1 with high miles is probably worth more than mine and they both a minus any mods.

My local dealer has 5 gen 2s on the lot all with $10,000 - $15,000 mark ups on the window. Regular sales guy offered me $40k for my 17 my with 38k miles. And sticker on the 19 my. Fleet later offers me dealer invoice on any gen 2 on the lot. It’s just a regular supply and demand scenario. But most people here are right never buy a car or truck for investment unless it’s rare or a classic.
Yep. Only in a state like Maine would you find a stripped out base raptor. It fits the Maine narrative well though. Not bad, depreciated $ 16,000.00 in 2 years for a plain Jane raptor.
I bought my Raptor instead of the fully equipped Expedition, as getting older my back just can’t handle owning a full size F250 or even the F150 cargo capacity. My ‘18 Raptor is my daily driver and gives me most fun in the Summer. I also bought an ‘18 Shelby GT350 which is my weekend getaway car.
Ford has a better idea than any other US manufacturer, mass production of the Raptor is not undue to the demand.
I have been a car collector for four decades and with the stock market gains over the same time any production of a car in the thousands never or rarely can beat the market.
Use the Raptor for what it was made for and it will give you more smiles than an account full of $$$.

I hate leather seats so I'd take a stripped out base model over a loaded one. It depreciated $16K in 2 years and 11 months. Where did you go to school?

I like leather. I’m in and out of the truck all day and the leather seats last a lot longer than the cloth.

Completely agree, vehicles are not investments except for some very rare cases. Raptors are tools to be used. You don’t worry about how much you could resell your tools when you buy them do you?
My cloth seats don't show wear because I'm long legged and I don't slide my ass across the seat to get in or out. But I saw my old truck at my friend's auto detail shop and I noticed how worn out the driver seat was because the guy I sold it to is short legged and slides across the seat getting in and out.
