Your going to have to do the research bud. Outside of it being new and more refined, along with the creature comforts that come with it. New truck, no fix. But your mileage is still lower on your Gen 1 as well.

Only you know in comparison what you might like better or desire between the Gen 1 and Gen 2.

As mentioned the time is right to buy. Also there may be delays in new truck output for a bit down the roads. If inventory gets low, prices will hold strong. This may be somewhat time sensitive in saving money on the purchase.

Haha....I'm damn close to 40 and every time I step on it, the exhaust sound puts a smile on my face. I've heard good sounding Gen2's too though, so that wouldn't be my decision maker, but I don't think it is a factor of age. My wife does think I'm an idiot too though.

a 6 year old truck is a 6 year old truck. spend an hour in a new truck and you will find it is better in every way you can measure it.

I think maybe you meant to say, "I dont care how loud my exhaust sounds since I am getting older & have less desire to announce me or my truck's presence & I prefer a quieter cab for my family/long trips" etc. - appreciating a badass sounding exhaust note doesn't mean your immature, off the top of my head rattling off a few of the best sounding exhausts on factory vehicles and YOU sir, tell me how many 20 year olds are buying em -

I also had a black car once! Nothing looks better than a Black car for about 10 min after your wash it, then its horrible dusty and looks dirty till the next wash aggghhhh! So White hit is and the only time White looks bad is when its rainy.

Traded my 12 in on a 19 and haven’t regretted it once. Love gen 1’s but the gen 2 is a different animal. I missed the V8 sound for a bit but the gen 2 is snappier and now I appreciate that turbo whistle. Only mods I had were a CAI and tune. Although my 12 had 99k on it so it was time.
