Honestly the more I see of this truck, the more I really appreciate mine. It just seems gimmicky

I really want to like it (except for the v6) but it's just not as distinctive and well done as ours. I'm still holding out hope it looks better in person for some reason but what made ours work is that the gen1 is more than the sum of its parts and was distinctly Raptor not F150. Not sure the gen2 is.

Agreed!! I think this is why I don't like it either. I've been against the V6 from the start but there's just something about a new truck... but you hit the nail on the head right there. It's just too much like the the standard F150.

So much denial. You guys are sniffin' glue lol...

Go listen to the exhaust note of your GT350. Then go on youtube and watch a couple ecoboost videos. My personal favorite is the one of the ecoboost drift truck, but any of them will work.

It's an awesome truck with a disappointing engine.

Well maybe I don't put the priority of the sound of the truck as high as you gen I guys. It's gonna have some freakin' boost though. My wife's Explorer Sport ecoboost engine is pretty impressive for a family crap hauler. Doesn't sound all that great I agree.

That's the whole point. It's an engine that belongs in a "family crap hauler".

Would you have bought a GT350 with one?

But what if it didn't? What if it had 40-60 more hp? The Raptor will have nowhere near the GT hp

Trucks need torque more than HP. Turbos provide that and the ecoboost will have more of that as well as less weight to push. Imo it's going to be a huge upgrade.

I wouldn't have had any reservation getting into a GT350 that had an ecoboost. But if I did I'd just keep the Boss as it has the best Coyote engine Ford offers. There are rumors that the next GT500 will have the Ford GT engine in it. It's the way things are going. You have what you want already, I don't understand you guys getting all upset about this.
