Trying to compare a navigator to a Land cruiser. LOL. By the way tell that one to anybody who knows about build quality and reliability. Kind of like comparing Tom Brady to matt Stafford. A real Joke.

Detroit, what a great city. yeah right. If you would like to really compare the Toyota land cruiser to the raptor as far as build quality you are fighting a losing battle. Actually it's a joke. Would you like to talk about recalls and engine failures of the raptor vs the land cruiser. Again another fight you will lose. The raptor is a great truck, but if you want to try to compare it to any of the toyota top line vehicles when it comes to build quality , its a joke. Kind of like comparing the New England Patriots to the Detroit lions.

But, what should we expect coming from Detroit.

The only joke here is you; apparently you don't understand the difference between a child's toy and the craftsmanship that is required to make a luxury vehicle. Simply look at the cheap ass interior plastic straight out of the 1990's on the brand new Land Cruiser and compare it to the Navigator; you sound like an escaped mental patient. How much does Toyota/Lexus (same junk, different name) charge for that gated shifter with the shiny fake plastic wood? The dot matrix clock straight out of the "Breakfast Club" era"? The pleather seats with the faux pleating? If common sense isn't convincing enough for you the sales numbers tell the story; there is a reason that Toyota can't move Land Cruisers and their Lexus clones are even slower sellers while Lincoln can't make Navigators fast enough. Go find somewhere else to troll kid, you've been exposed for the clown that you are.

OP, apologies for this getting thread-jacked. +1 @ChevTillNow

If Ford comes through with a new motor, long block or whatever, the warranty is “satisfied” right then and there. Nothing else is required of them. That said, the Raptor is sort of a ‘halo’ truck, and is marketed to and built for enthusiasts. If you’re ok with the truck, especially if you’ve put time and effort into mods- lights, suspension, tires, who knows what. If so, then the long block/motor puts you back in --your-- truck, already set up the way you want faster, and with a brand spanking new motor to boot.

poop happens. I lunched a GM 4 banger at redline once, many moons ago, Mr. Piston: Meet the Valve family. Covered under warranty, got it back with a new(?) motor and it felt every bit as good, maybe better. Never had another problem with it.

angle for the extended warranty with Ford C/S if you like the truck. If not, get the repair and trade it!

Good luck either way.

I would like to apologize to everybody on the forum, as I did not mean to upset anybody or cause any ill feelings or unhappiness. I am not a raptor hater or a ford hater. Matter of fact I am on my second ford raptor and I currently own a GT 350 R, both vehicles I love. I also own a 1948 ford four door sedan. So as you can see, I am not a Ford hater by any means.

I do believe that Ford is about performance, especially with vehicles like the raptor, GT 350, GT 500, and the Ford Explorer st. All great vehicles. But it was just my opinion, backed up with some facts, that the raptor has started to depreciate more than it should for such a high demand truck. And a truck that is their Halo truck. I believe that this comes from overproduction and dealer incentives being offered lately. And lets be honest, we all would like to believe that and know that our raptors are holding their value better than any half ton made, which it should, because the ford raptor is the best half ton produced currently.

Now as far as comparing it to some of toyota's halo trucks/suv's, you can not argue with their build quality and their reliability. It is proven. Again I feel that FORD has it all over them as far as pure performance, no question. Build quality and reliability is hard to beat certain toyota/lexus vehicles.

So in saying that I hope you can see that I am not a Ford hater or a Ford troll, if I was I would not own $ 210,000.00 worth of ford vehicles. But after spending time in a LC and a LX, I know how good those trucks are built.

So again I apologize and I did not mean to offend anybody when talking about recent raptor depreciation values.

Your opinion is irrelevant and you have no facts to back up anything you said. Way to try and back track.

Proven by who? You're a troll. You constantly worship Toyota/Lexus (same junk, once again) as if they are some kind of gold standard, when they simply mass produce cheap, outdated garbage and are no more "reliable" or "better built" than any other brand.

So in saying that I hope you can see that I am not a Ford hater or a Ford troll, if I was I would not own $ 210,000.00 worth of ford vehicles. But after spending time in a LC and a LX, I know how good those trucks are built.

Clearly you don't know a lot and you obviously don't work in the automotive industry. You're trying to save face after making a complete ass out of yourself by making unsubstantiated and baseless claims that Toyota's outdated trash is somehow better than the best selling, top rated industry leaders.

So again I apologize and I did not mean to offend anybody when talking about recent raptor depreciation values.

Too little too late. You made false, baseless statements on nothing more than your own biased opinion and you need to answer to that. Clearly you have an agenda, and nobody on this forum is being paid to help you with work through your ignorance, inherent bias, anti-American attitude, or lack of any education or facts. Go find a new hobby, nobody likes a troll.

@FordTechOne , don’t get worked up with this guy. He’s well known around this forum and just riles people up. Every time he gets blocked, he finds a new way to make things difficult. I fell for his BS when I had my first raptor with cam phaser issues and am glad there were others like @smurfslayer who keep identifying this creep.

sorry, but not sure you know what you are talking about

I have a raptor, wife has LX570.

both have about same miles but hers is 2 year older. It has depreciated way MORE than my raptor according to kbb.

not to mention, the LX has been in the shop (including recalls) more than the raptor. Service visits are much more expensive too.

I personally don’t even like driving it. Even in sport mode, it’s numb and floaty. But to each his own.
