2014 scab rear door ajar

Hey Guys, afew days ago I got driver side rear door ajar warning when going over bumps or turning right, closed it firmly think it wasnt closed all the way. Next drive still got the warning. after further investigation the bottom latch is not latching. any ideas on how to fix this? can taking off the inside door panel screw it up? noticed it after i changed out the speaker, also got a tone of ran the next day before i drove, not sure if either of those could have cause it.

i dug into this over the weeknd, I figured out the the latch cable was not re engaging all of the way, re routed the cable and so for so good!

the cables are known for popping out of the handle and then the door wont open..
