That seems unfair to me to just totally shit can an order completely instead of giving that customer a chance to modify their order and still get a truck. For instance, if a power moon roof , or blue interior, front and rear camera, or bead locks weren't available any more by the time my order was set to go. I'd be ******* furious that my truck didn't get built, instead of just not building it without that option(s), or giving me a chance to modify my order with something else. I'd rather have a truck, minus an option or 2 than no truck at all.

Just do a search on the problems after the 2011 Japan tsunami and you will realize how parts shortages or unavailability can affect things. No navigation and no Tuxedo Black.

QUOTE: Icecobra = "All you know now for sure is Ford has the order and acknowledged it has the order.. Orders will be filled based on inventory and supply. Ford has only so many parts to go around and short of placing new orders for materials once they sell out of things the builds will start dropping off... So if you order an 801A package and they run out of the premium radio then your order drops off... Same with sun roof and so on.. As they run out of parts those orders drop and they move on to an order that does not have that option.. Since it is the end of the model and unlikely Ford will order more than minimum quantity once they can phase it out, it will be no longer order except through repair chain... Not that you will not get your vehicle but it is likely since Ford has known they were retiring this body style they will stop ordering some parts all together. Keep up the faith and cross your fingers... In a couple weeks your gonna know for sure..."

Changing the order sounds simple, but it's not that easy. In production manufacturing, timing is everything. You're a Ford millwright, so you should have some understanding what Ford goes through to make sure the line keeps moving. With over 3,000 Ford Dealers in the US and the number of links in the chain between a customer and the plant, it would be a logistical communication and information nightmare... and other parts could run out while all that's taking place.

I have absolutely no insight on parts availability, but I think common sense would tell you that Raptor specific parts and more specialized/upgraded Raptor parts are probably more at risk. Off the top of my head, Raptor specific items like SE interior, SE beadlock rings, SE graphics, beadlock wheels, blue interior, front camera, etc. come to mind. Yes, I realize your Raptor has three of those five items.

PS - Your uncle's truck shipped yesterday.

He's a friend of a close friend of mine. I dont think he's lying for one minute. I was simply asking if there was anyway Crystal could tell if the dealer does for sure have an allocation and that the order will get pulled.

Is there any way you can look up if allocation is available by looking at a dealer code or if they have any ahead of me?

Also, is there any truth to this?

Hi JB 2014 Raptor SCrew and Broderick,

Unfortunately, no, I don't have the ability to see dealership allocation.

Your sales rep (or the dealership's sales manager) will be in the best position to help.

Crystal

Well it was worth a try. Thanks Crystal

I ordered my truck from the owner. And his zone manager told him to get my order in asap and it would most likely be late April/early May production. That tells me he has allocation for me

Yeah, they always tell the truth, hey JB try that. LOL

Well I sure don't trust many in the car sales business, but I trust Marks word being he is a close friend of a very close friend of mine. If he didn't think he'd be able to get me a truck, I don't think he would have taken my order or a deposit, or wasted my time knowing that balance out is coming soon.

I don't need to. I work for ford and I'm more than well aware of when went on due to Fukashima. There was in fact Nav and Tuxedo Black. They were just used on higher end vehicle lines first. Lincoln had priority over Ford and higher trim level got Nav and Tuxedo first.

So in other words, if Ford doesn't keep their end of the deal and can't build me the truck THEY OFFERED, that I ordered, instead of just building it without that option, I'm gonna get ****** altogether? Gee, that's ******* GREAT! Awesome, here comes that sick feeling AGAIN! I know how long parts take to be made. And I know that if orders were pulled in a timely manner, shit like what I threw out as a possibility WOULDN'T happen. This right here proves my point of how TRULY ****** UP Fords ALLOCATION process is Rich. These orders should be pulled ASAP so shit like what could possibly happen DOESN'T happen! If there is an issue , there would be plenty of time to change an order. BS orders for dealer lots should be canceled to make way for walk in customer orders, not ******* over customers like me who put a deposit down and ordered a specific truck.

I hope my builder doesn't just not build my house if something I order gets discontinued between now and Spring.

Thanks

It was the tsunami, not Fukushima. And for a Ford employee, you sure like to trash talk them. You come off as a major *******.

The lacking material needed for Tuxedo black paint and parts for Nav was from the reactor melt down in Japan.

I dont really give a shit about what your opinion is of me.

Wasn't the shortage caused by all 3?
Earthquake caused Tsunami, Tsunami caused the Fukushima damage, that what's I remember hearing anyways.
