Ordered two different add ons for my truck:

Tuner: Ordered the Bully Dog but changing it to 5Star.

Radio: Icom 50W VHF Radio (w antennae kit)

Ordered both from SDHQ

The radio is an easy install. Where are you planning on mounting it? Mine is right next to the right leg, mounted to the side of the console. it's way out of the way, but allows me easy access to it if i need it.

I take it you ordered the 5021 ICOM?

Yep- I ordered the F5021 VHF ICOM radio unit from SDHQ --- Amazing price and still trying to connect with Jason but couldn't (did talk to Louis)

I'm thinking about installing it to the right of the console with a mount under it to keep the interface in easy reach- the mic Not sure yet. Also the antennae not sure yet.

Hehe

I have a friend who is looking forward to helping with a Midperch adjustment we are going to do but Anyone local who has done it them self want to talk?

EDIT: With the midperch I want to get an alignment done (maybe add something in while it's there) but it looks like I may not be able to do it myself. I'll see how this goes.

Stock tie-rods are going into the spares storage in the bed.

Bumpstop kit from Outlaw + suspension upgrades (leaning towards Icon 3.0s)

I will say having a few parts extra with you is great! I had to replace a stock tie rod at TRR 13. Didn't take long but glad I found a spare.

+1 on the Icom for the toy run. Just to throw out another suggestion for placement, I had my radio and mic clip installed in the center console. That way it's hidden from view for everyday driving. The mic wire still fits under the console lid when it's closed and I just throw it in a cup holder. I had Outlaw install it and they were able to split the center speaker to run both the truck stereo and the Icom. No need for an external speaker.

That pretty much gave me exactly what I was looking for - speaker system for the receiving end because I want it as clear and loud on the road as I can.

I'm wondering if I can get the microphone wired through the ceiling and coming out of the moonroof console but then I realize that the hand to microphone distance shouldn't be vertically inclined- horizontal and down like the cup holder would be more convenient,

Well I'm waiting for Saturday morning to install the mods I have except the reflector lights are currently drying for tomorrow - plastidipped them in the color scheme I'm interested in having :)
