I'm troubled, I got my raptor back with a new power steering pump and it did it again! I was burning a quick u turn on a snow street and there was a very loud squeal and dead steering. It didn't completely seize up this time but I can only steer when I have the revs up and it sounds bad. It's going in tomorrow back to the dealership and instead of driving this pos directly through their showroom (steering doesn't work after all, oops), I'd like to be able to perhaps offer some suggestions to the service department. You all out there seem to be very knowledgeable, please help!

I am concerned about buying a nice aftermarket pump because the issue must be coming from somewhere else...

Those suggestions are power steering reservoirs and NOT stronger pumps. I don't think anyone makes a stronger pump.

Take because it the problem it allows air in the pump and kills it. The after market one have baffles in them and handle the spirited driving a little better.

I'm in The club of broke PS pumps....

I have a blue ano RPG res. On the way. I was doing doughnuts in a field. Not even Really "getting on it" and I guess it caused excessive aeration and let the pump run dry.

But what I've done to it can't be considered spirited driving, burning a donut or two in a pick up is normal, at least up north eh!
