My power steering has quit on my first time off-road. (45k miles on the truck) My truck is out of warranty. Is there a recall? Can we call Fords attention to these threads to get answers about what they have done/are doing to remedy this design flaw?

2013RR I have the Whipple charger and I really like it
Stay on the throttle, it helps with the turns. But you'll be working your arms a bit. I drove 800 miles home towing a camper with no PS. And the pump was replaced two days earlier. It's sucks.

Yeah I've been driving around for a few weeks already lol I'm going to install the pump myself but I wish Ford would do a recall or something since everyone is having this problem

So I bought the Howe power steering kit and had a local shop install it. They had to add spacers to push out my Whipple Supercharger's intercooler so the Howe reservoir would fit. It steers at stop now but its rough to the right and really rough and loud to the left. I called Howe and they said this is normal. I'm not sure if I would prefer the stock pump which performs good but dies at 30k of this $1200 kit that is choppy and loud but supposedly will last. Not happy Ford didn't put some effort into getting this right in the first place. Especially considering the price of these trucks.

Your numerous posts make me think the problem with the rack is behind the wheel and not the kit itself

Sorry dude. I guess u get notifications on every post? I thought u had to be reading the thread to see my posts. I've been reading this forum on the computer for a year now and I only see posts in the thread I'm reading. So I read the same shit in five threads with only minor differences in each thread. Maybe there should be one power steering thread instead of 6? @bstoner59 I like how nice everyone is though
