12 mpg in a Raptor IS pathetic. I get 15 and a little more in town, and I get 16.5 on the open road - NOT pathetic for a 3 ton vehicle. Methinks this is a user error type problem unrelated to the machine itself.

all I am saying I will gladly wait for a 3.5 ecoboost raptor I am confident on my manliness to not need a truck with a big engine to remind me of it, but if by the next model year I dont hear anything from Ford about a 3.5 ecoboost then I will look into a pre owned one,
I am tired of being winter/snow ******:ROFLJest:

welcome to the site svtjackal, I'm Harley#356 from LR/NLOC/NHTOC/etc.

I would have bought a 3.5 EB Raptor in a heartbeat if it was an optional engine.

hey Josh, small cyber world and thanks for the welcome

I wonder at thereal world maintenance requried by the EB twin turbos. It used to be that turbos required more frequent service than the engine. I bet that's been improved through the years, but what do you have to do to maintain EB turbochargers?

Turbos hummm?

Well Ford replaced 3 on my 6.0 aka sixleaker, plus many many many other parts. 2 year story

One set on my 6.4, de-cabed truck 3 times, long block after they called and said trucks ready to go. I didnt make it out of the parking lot and flung a rod out of the block. lol The 6.4 spent 187 days in shop, law suit still in the works.

Over Turbos and Diesels.

From reading the owner posts, it's pretty simple:

Call roadside assistance for a flatbed ride to the dealership. While the technician is downloading the newest programming, he'll take off the intercooler and dump out the condensation. Also, they'll replace the catalytic converter and waste gate solenoid. Probably check the grounds tracking the low-spark misfire.

The old international diesels were a headache for ford.they now are built in house because things got so bad.now they need to build them in the u.s.a.

Manliness? Explain the benefit of having an Eco Raptor? It will NOT get better mpg's, it has less power, what could possibly be the reason for wanting one?

The facts are very clear, the Eco reacts to physics just like any other engine - there is zero benefit, unless you are a greener and must have a 6cyl so Al Gore will think you are cool.

From the horses mouth: the Eco Raptor

I had the chance to drive Seren'a Ecoboost these last few days since she is out at a race in Prim.... 12-14 mpg all street driving.. Same drive I do in my Raptor is 10-12 mpg.. Her's has a chip, intake, exhaust, 4.88 gears.. Mine has headers, exhaust, chip, intake

I know there are guys getting 10-12 mpg's in their Raptors but they are the exception. Most of us are in the 14-16 range with mixed driving. I drive mine like I stole it and I get a steady 14. As I have pointed out over and over, there is zero benefit to an ecoboost Raptor - but I'm sure reading a post from someone who has driven the only example on the planet isn't enough for you guys.
