Concur, it's more likely a quality control issue happen with an aftermarket company product and they are just now catching it. Chit Happens!

I don't think that's the case because SDHQ is only reporting changes to the '13 model year. They stated the 2010-2012 kit has not changed.

Ok so I crawled under in the parking lot at the plant in -20*C and couldn't get the tape measure in there and take a picture with freezing fingers. But from what I could tell the frame on the inside where the oval support goes in is somewheres around 1/4" and went as far as I could feel. Don't take 1/4" as confirmed yet I'll get a picture when I get home in my garage. What thickness is the '12?

Makes no sense that Ford would put complete R&D testing, crash and many other things for this type of change into a frame structure and then resigned the whole truck a year later. Either there was a structure change to the 2013 and there will not be a body style change or other way around diffiently not both!!! Not efficient and companies must be efficient to survive. Only this would happen was if people were dying in crash and it was a recall... Not happening

I second this. All in favor...

Josh, I think from what I read on the other thread is that it only has to do with the SDHQ frame reinforcement kit on the inside of the frame where they put the oval piece in it's supposedly thicker(if I read that correctly) I might be wrong cause I've never seen the RPG kit but I don't think anything bolts into that oval spot.

Ford has changed the inside section of the inside frame rail. The material is aprox double the thickness and extends for aprox 12" to the front and rear.

Our larger gusset plate fits with no issue, it is the small oval piece that we had to modify slightly.

Our bump stop kit fits just fine on the 13.
