I did reposition laser shifters to make sure they cover as much as the front end as possible..

What I did is find the center of the shifters and used a string 18" long. This way I could make sure the end of the strings reached headlight and license plate. There is about a one inch gap that is not covered on the front plate..

I figure that is good enough..

Also, make sure the shifters are perfectly level and straight. And the 18" rule is at 500'...if you get hit with laser beyond 500' it'll be even bigger than that and you'll usually get hit way before 500'. I wouldn't worry too much about that 1" gap.

I took you advice and made adjustments per your PM... I had to shim the driverside to get it level.. TRR bumper damage.. Oops..

Thank you!

Glad it helped, bud. I've become a bit of a radar/laser countermeasure junky recently and figured I'd share some knowledge...break bread so to speak. I saw earlier you mentioned Blinder jammers...if you do decide to go with additional jammers (wouldn't interfere with ZR4s), I'd shy away from Blinder. They've been having some quality control and customer service issues with their latest HP-905 series.

If I could get away with it, one of these systems would be nice...

View attachment 21506

The JAMKIT system provides an ultra-efficient, high-power mobile multi-band jamming system designed specifically for installation within any suitable vehicle. The system simultaneously jams the RF frequency bands most used around the world, including cellular (CDMA, TDMA, GSM, HGSM, etc.), satellite, walky-talky (VHF/UHF) and computer network (WLAN, WiFi, Bluetooth) frequency bands.

Would cause so much trouble with other bullrunners... Their expressions would be priceless as their fancy navigation/radios/cell systems are useless...
I like my freedom to much...

First off, I would like to say thank you to all my sponsors, supporters, fan, friends and family. All those that are cheering for this "underdog" during the Bullrun Rally.

I understand there are some that think that entering my "jalopy" in the Bullrun is a disgrace, waste of time, foolish, and flat out stupid. I appreciate your right to express your opinions and respectfully disagree with you.

I know a Raptor does not have the top speed of most of the other vehicles. I know a Raptor is not a sports car, it is a purpose built off road vehicle. To me it does not matter if I come in first place or last place. Just finishing the entire rally in my daily driver is my goal.

So while I am spending the week with some of the world finest supercars, staying in 5 star hotels, and creating a lifetime memories. The naysayers will be behind their keyboards furiously typing away. I will be out there, living and enjoying my life..

Okay here is physical install of Bearcat 996xt digital trunking scanner...

Now you see it..

Now you don't...

All electronics (scanner, jammers, radar detector) are hooked up to one upfitter switch. This way if we get pulled over, it is easy to kill all the power with one switch.

It was a pain to fit it in there, a lot of cutting and trimming.. Not a mod for the faint at heart.
