Swoop I love you.
Much love, broseph!
Being a service man yourself, isn't it rather ****** up to elude to the fact that his OWN guys were shooting at him?
Swoop is an active military man, someone I have talked to on a personal note...
Now why would you want/wish/say that one of our military men are getting shot at by their own force...
I dont understand your mindset. While it may seem to you that swoop is overreacting and trying to **** people off, which is something I am very good at. You, my friend, are the one overreacting, wishing harm on another individual. Thats not respectable.
This is the internet and yes everyone has an E-****. While my E-**** is just as big as my REAL LIFE ****, seems to me yours is not the same.
Grow a pair and take it like a man.
Thanks for the heart-felt response, my friend. I gave up on bringing any sanity to this thread at 6:18am this morning. But your words has warranted another response from me.
While words on the Internet don't mean anything to me 99% of the time, there are times that I take into consideration what's being said, by who and in what manner. Such examples could be; women on a dating site, women on a non-dating site, informative posts on an automotive related website, financial planning advice posted on a website and home repair websites.
That's pretty much it.
While I do find humor in most everything that is put on God's Green Web, I don't readily appreciate (even with a
face) someone saying or even eluding to the fact that while being shot at defending this great Nation -- that it might have been my own team, my own brothers and sisters, shooting at me?
That's just plain
WRONG.
Let me tell you something real quick: My team would never fire back at me unless it was in a direction to get someone near me dead. I've been in such situations where I'm standing and I hear them yell, "CONTACT LEFT" and guess where I'm at -- LEFT. The "bang bang" of the hammer pair go off and it's just like the movies...you stand there, wide eyed like a deer about to get hit. You look at them and they don't move. You look down and... You're NOT bleeding. A man falls behind you, his gun lay at your feet.
That's true camaraderie. ...some of us do it all day long.
You're a LEO of some fashion, or Fire/EMS; long respectable profession. You stated that you drive the big red truck. Do you enter buildings on fire? My Dad was a firefighter before I was born and he is much more of a man than I am. Anyone who is ******* crazy enough to run INTO a burning building deserves much more respect than I -- but that's how humble human beings are; we are respectful, we are grateful, we are proud.
Lastly, regarding my Military service; let's talk about September 11th, 2001. That day will forever live in our minds as a tragic event. Sure, NYC got it worse with the death toll because there were more people and was definitely labeled as a more catastrophic event.
When it comes up in conversation when I joined our United States fighting forces, I let them talk whatever they want when I say I joined in September of 2001. They say all sorts of disrespectful things, such as I joined only because of the attacks, I joined just to "get even" at those who did us harm, that I joined just to deserve special treatment.
No. I joined on September 4th of 2001 and I could do nothing but hear rumors and listen to what the Recruit Division Commanders told us, which was very limited information, regarding the event. For nearly 3 weeks until I received my first letter from home, I went through my training thinking the worst. My sister, who was Active Duty at the time, was working inside her office
between corridor 3/4 in the "C" ring inside the Pentagon on September 11th. You're damn right I stand loud and proud for this country.
...and to say that we're all here to help people out and not start fights? Is that all I do? Start fights? I've helped many more a person on this site that you ever have but I don't keep track of that. I've written PAGES and PAGES of posts regarding all things Raptor and even some on a more personal and professional level though email and PM's to people. Do I feel high and mighty? Not one bit. Do I say I'm smarter than anyone? Nope.
Secondly, to suggest that I go for a drive in my Raptor and listen to Christmas music and to "try and have a Merry Christmas"... For your information, Christmas music does nothing but **** ME OFF because I cannot be home with my family for the holiday celebration. It does nothing but **** ME OFF that I've spent my life and devoted myself to a career that does not readily allow me to find a relationship, settle down for years and years and create life to have my own family. It does nothing but **** ME OFF when I see people that are unhappy, egotistical dweebs that show nothing but hate, discontent and regret for their fellow Americans.
That is what this thread has become.
Peace
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas.
