I was quoted 4 hours to linex the bed. and don't put anything into it for 24 hours. I was planning on lineX ultra at $480, if I want it colored then that adds 375 more.

I'm going to have them do fender wells and flares (i'm going to pull the flares myself and take them in)

oh ok so it's not a lengthy process. I asked the dealer to do the flares they will get back to me for a quote. The cheapest line x i could find in toronto was 570. Dealer asked for 600 so maybe another 150? 200? for the flares?
dammit i just wan't my truck!!!

It took 3-1/2 hours to get my wheel wells done. I've heard of some shops that just leave the tires on, and just mask things off and go to town. THe guy who did mine took the wheels off to be able to get in at whatever angle to get perfect coverage of all the nooks and crannies in the wheel wells, and he also removed all the brackets and anything else to not get line-x on. I also got premium, so thats an extra step.

I paid $374 which is on the high side. $150/wheel well + $75 for premium, but I didn't really have any other options around here, it was my closest line-x shop and it was almost an hour away, so it is what it is. But it turned out great, definitely glad I did it.

Got an email from the dealer that my truck will be built the week of 3/12 and supplied the VIN. Is there any way to see photos or follow along with your truck as it is built? I asked the dealer, but they sent me here saying you guys would know better.

There isn't a whole lot you can do to track your build. You can get a look at your window sticker. From that you can get your build date.

Calling SVT can help a bit too.
Congrats!

I picked it up on Monday. What a happy day!

If anybody is in the South Michigan area, I got a great deal from Jerry Bell at Fowlerville Ford. It was about a 60 mile drive for me but nobody else would do anything other than sticker price.

There is nothing like slowing the passage of time by having to wait for your raptor to get delivered. Ordered 12-16-11, built 2-20-12, got the keys on 2-27-12.

I called SVT while mine was being built to try and get pics on the assembly line, but they won't do it, nor will they allow you on it as I was going to fly up there

It finally happened, I called SVT today and got my build date of 03-08-12. I ordered on 09-02-11 so it's been a long time coming. A happy camper now.
