I ordered my Blue SCrew (nearly loaded - no graphics/no bed extender) on 9/19.
I feel stupid because I didn't know I could ask for my VIN number.
Called the dealership weekly and I think they will be just as happy when the truck arrives as I will, since they shouldn't have to deal with me anymore after that.

Couple of issues/questions:

- on 12/18 was told that my truck was on a transport on it's way here to Maine and should be here the day after Christmas. Well, that came and went, and so did New Year's Day. Today, I get the word that my Raptor and 3 others heading to my dealership are all on the same truck out of Atlanta, GA? WTF? If all Raptors are made in Dearborn, why the hell did it get shipped to Atlanta and then back up here to Maine? As stated, no decals are on it, so why would it be shipped anywhere else?

- my dealership does not show my truck in it's inventory, but when I placed the order, it was a 'customer' order, not a dealer order, or so I was told. I feel (again) like I'm being deceived/talked-down-to.

- I was watching Raptor videos on YouTube and saw an ad for this forum, hence why I showed up here, and a comment was made on the video to visit and ask for the Raptor discount? What does that mean?

- who/what is SVT? I know my Raptor is an SVT, but what SVT would I call to discover order info?

I apologize for newb questions, but since I'm a female, maybe you guys will cut me some slack, eh? Maybe even Reptar, since he thinks we're all on our periods when we have to deal with him over the phone. Just sayin'...

According to my salesman, my truck should be on the dealer's lot today or tomorrow. Hopefully no later than Friday... how long does a truck transport take to drive to one destination? Yeah, Georgia is a long way from Maine, but if I can haul my entire house from California to Maine in a week (pulled behind a Ford Expedition in a UHaul trailer), then a professional service should be able to do much better.

Thank you all for your informative posts, and I hope to be a contributing member - if my input is in anyway significant. :Grenade:

I find it unusual that it would be trucked from Atlanta, I don't remember seeing any sleeper trucks being used as car carriers. You can call SVT at 800-367-3788 then press 1 good luck.:005:

Here's the site for checking on your window sticker.. Not sure about a site to track your build though..

WINDOW STICKER ADDRESS

Just add your VIN after the equal sign and if you have one, there it will be.

As a side note, it's easiest to just bookmark it because if you're like most of us, you'll check 50 times a day so save yourself some typing.

Raptors are built in Dearborn.
It's funny they know it went to Atlanta?
It won't show up online on dealer inventory when it's a retail sold unit.
SVT (special vehicle team) specializes in developement in high performance vehicles such as Mustang Cobra, F-150 Lightning, Raptor.
My 2010 took 15 days for it to arrive after being built to be transported I live less than 4hrs away from Dearborn.
Dealers have the ability to know when that truck is still on the ramp waiting transport or in transport and date it should arrive on vehicle visibility once it has a vin.
Good luck :waytogo:

I ordered my truck 0n 09-02-11 and still do not have a vin#. I have checked with the dealer and with Ford and the order is still in processing. Now I am told by the dealer that Ford wants to "verify" that the Raptors they have on order (there are 4) are really retail orders for customers.

I have contacted Ford about this asking if this is the hold up how do I verify that I ordered the truck and get the order moving. Ford gives me a vague reply and totally avoids the verification issue saying to talk to my dealer. Has anyone had to "verify" with Ford that they actually ordered their truck?

I had heard that some dealers were playing games with their retail orders so Ford was auditing that, but don't see why I should be caught in the middle of any of that. Anyone heard of this?

I actually had a similar problem. It turns out that some dealerships - according to the Ford Rep I spoke with most are in Texas and California - were claiming to be placing retail orders when in fact they had sometimes up to 20 Raptors sitting on their lots to sell. I know of one specifically in Texas, and if you check eBay they really stand out - photos of 15+ Raptors lined up are used in their sales images.

As so often happens, this effs it up for the rest of us. The Ford Rep had to verify that I'd paid the requisite $1500 up front to order and then called me to ensure that I'm a 'real' person, not just another salesperson.

UPDATE: Oddly, of the four Raptors supposedly shipped together - one of which is mine - one of them (not mine) was delivered to the dealership today. My salesman says that mine WILL be in tomorrow. How the EFF am I supposed to sleep tonight?
