Still not sure if I like the new Graphics, I will wait to see it person first. Same goes for the wheels.

I like them fine, but Im not sure I like them OVER the 2010-2011s...
Personally, I think they should have left the graphics alone. They didnt change the shape of the cobra every two years on SVTs and Shelbys...a signature mark is just that for a reason.

What I dont like is the delete of the Molten Orange. That is the Raptor's signature color, and since they DID get rid of it, why a BLUE interior, and not red? Red would go better with black, white, and the new red, and you have to figure the red will be the big seller since the black is now gonna be ebony, and the ones that havent been waiting for red have already bought. (Although I do like blue, just dont think it will be the largest selling color)

The wheels- meh, whatever...replaceable at least...I like black with no silver edge personally, but not enough to have my wheels redone.

Wheels would have been the first thing to replace on the '11 or '12 for me.

I agree that a RED interior accent color would have gone much better with exterior colors than blue. Oh well, mine will be murdered out black everywhere.

They didn't change the shape of the Raptor either. Just just updated the bed graphics. Nothing wrong with keeping the look fresh and unique rather than same old thing year after year. Look at the HD trucks, EVERY single year has gotten unique graphics, no two year of the HD F-150's got carry over graphics. That makes each year unique in its own fashion. Even the emblems on the HD's get updated every year to two years. Same for rims with the Lightning. 99-00 had one style, 01-02 had another style, and 03-04 had another style. It allows owners to change up the look of their truck with other year rims to update or change the look, without having to go to questionable quality aftermarket parts. And if you don't like the current year, there's other options to choose from. I've seen countless L's with different OEM wheels than the year rim the truck came with. Awesome they're changing some stuff up with the Raptor as well.

Orange certainly was a unique color, but it's cool they're opening up other options, and they can't always offer every color under the rainbow. So orange is a special color only to '10-'11. History repeats itself, true blue was only offered on '02 L's, dark shadow gray and sonic blue only on '03-04L's, maybe silver will only be on '11-'12 Raptors, and maybe another color added for '13-'14???

As for why blue interior? Why NOT? Red is very close to orange. Most guys who didn't dig orange aren't going to be all too crazy about red. Myself included. I'd never order an orange or red truck, and especially never order an orange or red interior. Now blue, still a bold color, but much more tame of a color combo that I'm ordering. Ford's being smart and going with two colors on opposite ends of the spectrum rather than just changing it a shade from orange to red.

As for red being the most popular color for '12, I'd doubt that. I'd bet my money on black and silver being the two most popular. The order guide does list tuxedo black as well as ebony black, but even if tuxedo isn't available, I don't think that would deter a whole lot of people, guys who want a black truck will still most often get a black truck regardless of the metallic, and not jump to bright glowing red.

Digital splash graphics aren't on the order guide, only 1 bedside graphics option. I'm sure you can still order the bed graphics for '10-'11 through Ford and get them applied after the fact. IMO though if you're undecided, save the insaney overpriced $1,200 or so and get no bed graphics, wait till you see them in person, then decide if it's really worth that kind of money, and if they even look all that great. I knwo when I saw the digital mud graphics in person I was really let down. Nothing like a huge clear sticker slapped on the side with some black prints. Looked really cheap IMO.

Actually I thought the same, but it's another $2-300 more to do it after the fact. They also do not look cheap at all, which is why I kind of want them now. Go see it in person and decide before buying, if you want the graphics get it ordered that way. Waste of money after the fact.

Where are you reading that only regular black will be available?

If you don't like the 2012 bed graphics, order without. My Parts Mngr Mike, 918 647-2228 has the 2011 bed graphics in stock. They run $1300 and you would have to find a shop in your area that is willing to install them??

Looks like 15 different colors for the 2012 F150 line. Maybe somebody could post a poll on the forum to see if there's interest in a fleet order color?

White Platinum Metallic Tricoat looked good on a 6.2 Limited.

Whats 200 bucks compared to a $50k truck? Either you like them in person and end up having to spend an extra $200, or you end up hating them in person and ended up having wasted $1200 on the option just to peel them off and trash them. I'd say if you're on the edge its worth the risk to order without. OR wait another 4-5 months till you finally get to see a '12 in person and order then, and wait another 2-3 months to get it. OR just order now and get it with the first bunch that roll off the assembly line.

And guess it depends on personal tastes on what looks tacky, but the black digital mud printed on a big clear sticker just looked cheap to me all along the edge of where the sticker stops. Once you're up close you can see the edge of the clear sticker, where's the puke smiley? For a $50k truck to have a big clear sticker with digital mud printed on it? no thanks. For that $1200 you can get digital mud painted on the bed sides, have the same look, but 100000x's better quality with no clear sticker look all along and between the mud spatters.

Sorry, not the cobra car, but the cobra emblem- the snake emblem. Wasnt clear there...
The raptor doesnt have a cobra emblem, its got the graphics and the raptor emblem on the back. The new graphic has Raptor slapped on it...as if we didnt know it beforehand.

painted graphics?
Yeah, yeah, yeah...same old argument on the 50k+ GT500s...vinyl stickers...blah blah

I will say that my GT350 which has painted stripes does indeed look nicer...but stripes vs. graphics...apples and oranges in comparison. And I dont guess you looked very closely at the graphic, because its actually two different colors in the graphic, black and then a dark blue flake speckle area as well....not sure how that would work out trying to paint....painting stripes is a tape line, painting exact graphics that have shape variations for every pattern....tape aint gonna cut it.

Someone else asked where I heard the paint for black was ebony? I read that here...paint colors were shared, and its not tuxedo black, but the plain ebony black like on the gt500s
