I have a 2011. It has just short of 100,000 miles. The only recall was the early replacement of the driveshaft, and the only failures were the transfer case and the rear camera. If I had it to do over again, I would and without hesitation. It's the finest vehicle I've ever owned.

its always hard to tell from pics. gotta get underneath both of them and see which is in better condition. we got tirina her truck 2 years ago. its a 13 with 99k miles. was $35k out the door. i would check them both and see which one is the motivated seller.

If you had a 13 then going back to an 11 can be a bit annoying has it does have some little things that are different. I have a ‘12 but sometimes I wish it was a 13 or 14 like when I go to change the climate control or when I open the sun roof after it apparently rained an I stop at the end of the driveway and get soaked from all the water that was in the recessed roof supports. But if the truck is good and reasonably priced I would think you would be happy with whatever you find as long as it’s a Raptor!

While I am spoiled with my 2017 technology....

I like the rugged look of the Gen 1. With that being said, are there any rust points from the Gen 1 that should be of concern?

the 11 has spent its whole life in Phoenix, so no rust....the 13 bounced around tx,ok,ks,nm, and somehow ended up in AZ, im gunna go take a look at them both today...

I've had 11, 13 and 14 Raptors... In your situation I would not rule out the 13 because it has 60k more miles than the 2 year older truck.
If it was my $30k id start with the 13 simply because of the cooled seats, better Sync, Torsion, plus bumpers and wheel/tires..lol
I sold my 14 Roush to build a truck id be happy beating on in Baja and that has me back in an 11.

Don't be afraid of the mileage if everything else checks out, just make sure you look it over. The one with miles may have been looked after and has less things that will need down the road
I have 208,000 miles on the 11 and its been beat its whole life! 3 baja trips, Texas Raptor runs, beach dunes...you name it.
If you plan to do desert stuff its a good platform to add some suspension upgrades as you wont have a $100k into it

I have battled this my entire life of owning vehicles.

high mileage, lower cost
higher cost, lower mileage

Higher mileage more shit to break faster
Lower mileage, takes longer for shit to break

If you are handy, get the lower cost vehicle with higher mileage because you can fix it yourself...

If you don't like getting your girly hands greasy, go to the dealer and get the Gen 3 and a warranty lol.
