Hello all, New member here. The big question:
Is it better to add a 2" riser to level the new Raptors or raise a rung on the existing shocks. Let's have some opinions AND does the SVT approve of raising the rung on shocks???

From everything I've heard, the shocks were actually designed to be on the middle perch. I believe that Ford actually wanted to release them this way but couldn't due to some height restrictions.

I've heard nothing but good things about doing that mod, and a lot of the guys are going straight to the top perch which puts the truck just ever so slightly nose high.

I'm planning on doing it, but so far haven't found the time.

Welcome from south Ft. Worth. I will be going to the top perch and if it's too stiff of a ride I will put it back to stock and do a spacer.

How did you find us.

Welcome from Houston!!

There are a couple of folks running spacers, but most do the perch adjustment.

Slight threadjack, but still on topic, do you have yours raised any? I was going to try and have this done in the near future and I'd rather take it to someone who's done it before.

I usually use Southwest alignment on Richmond but I'm willing to broaden my horizon's. May even try to talk to a FIrestone shop so I could take advantage of their lifetime alignment deal. I'm also still not %100 clear on needing the camber kit. Seems like a lot of people do the middle slot without mentioning the kit...

Update to original post, I raised rung to top perch on a 2011, was a very stiff ride but kept it that way. I purchased a 2013 and went with 2" spacer and that kept the factory ride, much better with spacer...
