Method wheels

Hey all, I'm expecting delivery in mid March...didn't get beadlock wheels. Looking at 2 different 17" Method wheels: the 305 NV Bronze or the 105 Beadlock Matte Black. Any suggestions? Do I really need beadlock wheels for light rock crawling?

I went with the older OEM forged aluminum beadlock capable wheels from model year 2013-2014. Pricey but I like their looks over the newer OEM forged beadlocks. Same offset as the 2017 forged alum beadlocks.

You may already know this but the stock wheel is:
2017 Raptor Stock Wheel Info

Stock Tires: 315/70r17
Stock Wheels 17x8.5
Offset: +34

I love Fuel Wheels and may put the "Pump" wheels on mine. If you don't want them to stick out much stick with an offset close to +34. Any number lower than that will move the wheel out that far in mm. So an offset of 0 would move your wheels out about 1.5" which you said you didn't want.

PS: I like the Fuel Recoil. If you get them post pictures as I can't decide what to get either.

After looking all over the internet untill my eyes started to bleed, I keep coming back to the Fuel Vector D601 17x8.5 in gunmetal finish. The offset is +07 so that should only add about 1in. That should keep them inside the fenders, or real close. Is that correct? It's been a long time since I have purchased aftermarket wheels for my trucks.
Has anyone found an aftermarket wheel with an offset even close to +34? All most everything I have seen is 0 or a negative offset.

I am planning on a 18x9 Fuel Wheel with an offset of -1 which I am hoping will stick my tires out 1.5" ... I believe I am correct on this but can't be 100%. Getting the perfect look with tires is not an easy process that's for sure.

You don't need beadlocks in my opinion. I have done some pretty good rock crawling on my jeep and while I only air down to about 15-20PSI I never really had an issue except for one time where I got a lot of dirt in the bead seal and it cause slow leaks on a couple of tires. I personally am not a fan of bead locks for a daily driver type application because most tire shops (I only use Discount Tire now) won't touch a bead lock where.

Everyone is forgetting Ford are forged, most of these "cheaper" options are cast

Forged wheels for 1200 is a steal

I'll take these any day and twice on Sunday over the Ford stuff. Forged beadlocks can be had for around the same price and they don't have the lame offset of the factory wheels.

Those are very nice. I really wanted a set but I have to draw the line somewhere, I've put way too much coin into my gen1 pile.

Thanks for the input...I will save a couple hundred $'s not getting beadlock wheels. I haven't checked discount tires yet, but I'm pretty hung up on the method wheels.

Discount tire is the best if you have them in your area. They will match internet prices! I saved about $500 last time I did tires/wheels. They also provide free rotation and air checks for life and are simply the best tire company I have ever dealt with. I am guessing they can get your Method wheels. Definitely go there!

Their flight department is also next door to our hangar. For what it's worth they have a learjet that they only use to reward top store managers with a free get-away for friends/family. Shows how good of a company is right there!
