A lift kit won't make your truck better offroad. It will make it worse with a higher center or gravity. A long travel kit would help. It would give you a slght lift but increase your suspension travel dramatically. Then 3 or 4 link the rear suspension with some fox or kings. Notice how pro trucks, trophy, or buggies aren't real high but yet have up to or more than 30" of travel.

^^^winnah!

Unfortunately there are a lot of people who have no idea that their 6" lift kit has done nothing but helped them fit bigger tires.

Depends what type of off roading, a 6" lift can be the difference between getting somewhere and getting stuck somewhere.

The bigger tires will help, but that's it. You don't get any more wheel travel out of the typical 6" lift kit. Many people are under the illusion that a lift kit and some coil overs will increase wheel travel and make them the next Robbie &$#@ing Gordon. They don't understand how a suspension works.
