and y'all talked **** about me when I said what is the point of the 6.2... remember....

good times.

Low end torque for a heavy truck is why we have the 6.2, peak numbers are misleading in real world driving. A broad torque curve is more usable in off-road and on the street. When you want to compare to engines use the complete dyno sheet, not just the peak numbers. Remember folks when in doubr power out!

I know that... but the 5.0 makes killer torque according to the graph..

and that is with a car not truck setup...

as I said elsewhere... HP is a pretty pointless number when it comes to a rotating motor... it is merely a function of TQ...

If ord had just developed the 6.2 or the 5.0 it would have saed lots of resources.. given there outpus are so close...

The number I remember hearing was 1.5 seconds faster to 0-60. I will have to see where I read that, think it was Jalopnik or pickuptrucks.com

I remember reading the same thing awhile back ago. Iirc the 5.4 was 8.5 sec 0-60. That should put the 6.2 around 7 seconds.

BUT I could of sworn I read something recently that said the 6.2 Raptor did 0-60 in 5.9. Thats allot faster than 1.5 seconds better..... I dunno, I'm sure we will find out soon enough when the rags get their reviews done.

I thought it was the Hennessey Raptor that did the 0-60 in 5.9 (or around there)

I seriously doubt a stock 6.2 is going to hit 60MPH under 6 seconds.

6.2L is more like 7.4-7.6 second range for a 0-60 run.
