I wonder how many of the people who actually land an R will be on this site? I know the show off types certainly will be here. But many don’t give a rats *** about chit chatting online.

Just spoke to my dealer and I could have ordered it until he said it’s $30,000 over MSRP. Ha nope. $140,000 total I’d love to know who keeps buying for 30+% over MSRP. I’d rather the manufacturer just charge more. Screw the dealerships free money.

some will follow through, but I’ll bet a lot of them will chicken out before forking over that much more for the truck. Some will sit on lots for weeks and months as the dealer tries to lure someone in to pay over. The current batch of orders are all gung ho right now. This time next year, economy is probably going to be a bit worse, and let’s see what the Rap market looks like then.

I think I would buy Raptor R in a heartbeat for sticker price.

My brother just got brand new TRX. Loves it. Traded in 2016 F150 Shelby.

There will always be someone that wants it and will pay the piper. That you can bet on.

Yep. And I don't think you will see any going for MSRP anytime soon. Goofy crazy world right now.

One problem that will keep this truck always limited production is the engine. Can someone confirm this is built at the same factory as the GT500 motor and built by hand? Not to mention is this factory going to close soon down the road?

Hellcat motors are masses produced, so Ram can make 1000’s of these trucks and sell them for a lot less. You won’t be able to compare the two. I would hope for R’s price even though it will be hard to obtain by most, it’s performance will be spectacular somewhere on the chart.

Best part is since I drive plumbing vans for work if I f up the raptor yeah it will suck but I’ll still be able to get to work
Im a plumber too. 22yrs full time and in business for 14 years. I could swing the raptor r but am not going to out of pure principle of the ADMs. I could never do that to one of our customers existing or new. greed is b u l l s h i t. the make enough off it at msrp. 5-10k over sure, i get the market part of the equation, but anymore than that is stealing in my opinion.
