Get the Superchips or SCT hand held tuner it will remove speed limiter and add some power, with the option of going back to stock or even fuel economy mode for those long highway drives. Also can store custom tunes in them as well.

FWIW all 4wd trucks are pigs at high speed esp ones that have been lifted and are running bigger tires. Have had just about all of them and all were modified to run fast. The Raptor is no worse than the Chevy half ton but the Dodge HD floats and it is not pretty above 115 to 120.

New 2012, but limited to 100mph? WTH

Well, I've had my new 2012 for 3wks now and it just turned 1500 miles on it.
So, I decide it's time to see what this baby will do...
Well, it kicks ass!
Then I get to 100mph... and I'm like, you have to be ******** me!
411hp and that's it??? :wtf2:

Well, everything I've ever owned (including my Teryx) has been modded w/ a tuner program, but I'm not gonna take a brand new $55k truck and void the warranty.
I know all about pulling the program out before warranty work (I worked at a large Ford Dealership for about 5yrs doing everything from sales to service mgr) and I know the drive train risks of 100mph+ speeds in the Raptor, but really?

So, my question is this, can a Ford tech go into it and change only the top speed limiter in the factory program?

I've not been around the dealerships service departments for the last 10yrs, so I'm not buddy buddy w/ any techs anymore, but that doesn't mean I can't find one that will hook me up if this is possible.
Just want to know before I go looking for a tech.

Thanks,
PT

:Frustrated:

only way to break the cap is to get a tuner. and it doesnt void your warranty, you can always revert to stock. I have a tuner and many mods on my truck, the other day they replaced my streering rack.. it was covered by warranty. I even accedentaly forgot to take out the tuner chip from the DIAG port.
