bro lol. when i text my sales guy to ask for a status update, which isn't much, he sends me sideways "screenshots" of computer screens. like htf am i supposed to crook my neck and see what you're trying to show me dude???

this is when he was showing me one of my updates. he sent it with no context or explanation. it took me zooming in and panning around the pic to see the "ch hold" that his mouse pointer was hiding.
son of a b**** he got me tilting my head too! I know these aren't top of the line guys but your entire job revolves around taking care of the customer, you are the face of Ford when people buy your product. So disappointing in the lack of professionalism. I don't care how many other people you have waiting on trucks, the customer doesn't know and does't care. You'll never catch me slipping like that with my customers lol

You can tell how awesome he is by:

1. The crooked photo
2. Bookmarked "How to be a successful *Something*"
3. Actively looking at and trading Crypto on a work machine
4. Desperately trying to get in on that NFT craze with Datatorch.

No progress since my truck moved to Built a week ago. Still hasn't shipped.
:banghead:
I wonder if they have a minimum requirement for the amount of trucks they need to head toward a certain area. I don't imagine they waste money shipping light carriers so they need to fit say 5 Raptors in order to get a shipment out to PA for example. That might be why some people are stuck waiting for shipment longer than others.

My truck will be going to Houston. No shortage of trucks from DTP going there.

This is exactly right. It is crazy to think that some standard of service is expected for a purchase nearing $100K, lol.

If I had a salesman that was amazingly good and took his job seriously, I would never leave. I am talking about spending your free time on the forums to learn about stuff that will actually educate your customer, not just looking stuff up on the Ford website when being asked a question.

I spend a ton of time increasing my competence in my job outside of work hours with research, podcasts, etc. Is it too much to ask salespeople at Ford to take their job seriously too?

Great customer service is hard to scale. I just went through this. I built a business based around the best customer service, setting the bar levels above my competition. This was when I was a small organization.

Wow then things blew up. Multiple locations and more staff. Doing those small things that built the reputation and success suddenly became this big thing and chore. Hard to maintain.

At the end of the day its just competing. It takes effort from the whole team. I pound it into my managers daily.

But it is super difficult to do. Takes a ton of dedication. When your busy like we are (3-4 months out on appointments) it becomes almost impossible and someone always feels left out. We went automated on our systems to keep people as updated as possible, but you lose that boutique feel and it sucks. Nothing you can do about it
