welp, might as well hop in here. been lurking for a while.

Agate Black
801A
Moonroof

ordered 8/3/21
blend 10/11/21
built 10/19/21
shipped N/A

tracker shows In Production still

FP has a 12/28-1/3/22 delivery ETA window, it's supposedly off chip hold but still awaiting shipping assignment. painful wait so far as my sales guy expected the truck to make it the first week of November, but not as bad as y'all who ordered June, sheesh!

i am sure everything will be worth the wait. as much as my patience is being tested. there is no substitute for this truck for what i want it for, unless several compromises were made.

happy holidays to all y'all

This is exactly right. It is crazy to think that some standard of service is expected for a purchase nearing $100K, lol.

If I had a salesman that was amazingly good and took his job seriously, I would never leave. I am talking about spending your free time on the forums to learn about stuff that will actually educate your customer, not just looking stuff up on the Ford website when being asked a question.

I spend a ton of time increasing my competence in my job outside of work hours with research, podcasts, etc. Is it too much to ask salespeople at Ford to take their job seriously too?
I had a guy like that when I bought my 2018. I would have gone with him again, but he moved when his wife entered a residency program.

Also, am I making a good assumption that if the truck doesn't ship by today, it will not leave Dearborn before the end of the year? I thought the plant is shut down next week, but have no idea if Ford will have a skeleton crew finishing and pushing the 21s out. Not sure how easy that would be to accomplish when dealing with the union.

From my understanding they are done already starting today or tomorrow. I doubt they would have anyone left behind to put trucks on convoys. So I would agree that unless the tracker isn't up to date we probably won't see these ship until after the new year

Since the truck didn't ship this week, and I think there is nothing shipping next week, that means at best a January shipment. Best case now is deliver in late January.

Of course, we know how that will go, should probably set the expectation for April.

Are 21/22 undeliverable units something that buyers can back out of? What (if any) are the ramifications of doing that? Fords woeful launch history, and now this driveshaft issue, and who knows what else… would and should be grounds to cancel any sales. How does all that work?

Most dealers will happily give you your deposit back and promptly list the truck for $20k over sticker.

But, that assumes the truck arrives… currently doesn’t look good for anything arriving anytime soon. I would not be surprised if ford removed model years from products and just gave names / generations to things going forward, in order to protect themselves.

I'm saying the same thing. I told my salesman "see you in april" of course to no response. If that happens I'm def going to be getting some sort of incentive for their a s s service
