I know the transmission should be tough enough to handle the power these trucks put out. The mustang puts out alot more power. I am just wondering if maybe the weight of the f150 is just more than it can handle.

Ford has a class action lawsuit against them in PA I believe for this transmission. They know it has serious issues. They just pray that it will make it past the warranty on most of them. It's a numbers game.

As far as bashing Ford. I consider the dealer a direct extention of Ford Motor Company. The service tech, the dealership and the manufacturer are all the same to me.
