The way my dealer put it: “Since we put the Whipple on, if the whipple grenades the engine at 75k we’ll replace the engine and put your whipple on the new one if it’s still good.” Basically the Whipple warranty (3yr/36k) is just for the supercharger itself, and the extended warranty covers the...
I’ve three kiddos too, and had the 4 door dilemma as well. In the the end I told everyone that we have other vehicles everyone can be together in, and the only my favorite can ride in the truck with me!
First I want to say thank you to y’all for the wealth of knowledge this forum helped me with, but my quest for a powerful ford continues. I wanted an R, but after years of looking I could never find one for MSRP, and that truck is not worth anything over that! I’ve always had the Lightning bug...
I’m just going to be the one that says it. The AC in this truck is probably the worst I’ve had in all my vehicles the last 10 years, especially for rear passengers. It’s not a total deal breaker but the fact that the outside and rear vents don’t blow for $hit is really annoying. All I can say...
I’ve gone back and forth on how to black out mine (not modular though). Still can’t believe Ford did it this way.
-I got a quote for $500 to powder coat
-I can get wrap for about $100 and try it myself, $500 through installer.
- I’ve found R bumpers for $400 up depending on condition and...
So, if you unplug it does the tune go away? Seems like an easy install/uninstall option for the truck.
Don’t know why I’m asking because it doesn’t cover the 24 anyway. If it did I probably buy since it would be the only choice for 24’s.
What is the difference between the block off plates and just using the soundskins kit that covers the hole as well?
Does the block off plate go over the soundskins or do you cut out the hole for the plate? If you cut out the hole do you adhere the extra to the top of the plate?
I’ve noticed this in my 24.
Drive Normal mode nice and easy, and it stays smooth.
If you feel like hauling a$$ reserve that for Sport mode, and it keeps things stable.
When I would drive aggressive in Normal it would thunk, and vice versa in Sport.
I love it more and more, especially in different light!
But, SG is a love/hate color so if you’re on the fence I would probably say don’t do it. It is nice that regular F150’s don’t come in SG, so if you’re running naked without stickers there is no question if it’s a Raptor or not.
