I’ll jump in from the research we’ve done. 98% of the time, the stock uca is actually much more tested and stronger than aftermarket offerings. OE’s just have so much liability and $$$$ to test, test, test. Aftermarket Suspension companies that work on, and try to improve upon what Ford offers...
No real way to compare. Adding a computer and valves that monitor and adjust rebound also 1000 times a second is a real game changer. If I had the money for a 37” Dual Valve or 2024+ Raptor R, I’d never even consider taking off the OE shocks.
I’ve tried to supply as much information as I legally can about Gen 3 FOX Factory Race shock in another thread below. I think it was titled “FOX FACTORY RACE SHOCKS”.
Check it out if you’d like to search.
FOX is always working on a ton of projects.
Will FOX have a bolt on Live Valve for multiple applications? I’d bet, yes.
However it wouldn’t be for a Raptor as there is just not enough benefit to the current system. This forum is filled with some incredibly competent drivers. Truth be told...
Gen 3 Factory Race is happening. The Raptor pic above is of the test mule with 30,000+ of test miles on it. Hoping to have sellable product for the end of Q4. Testing is complete, endurance testing is complete, project is signed off and waiting on parts to begin the production builds. Not...
OCGen3. are you having issues with the front or rear. Can you elaborate? Are you thinking it’s a shock issue, or part of the electronic and sensor package? You may want to try another dealer. I know a ton of people are getting proactive results from Santa Margarita Ford. You can also contact...
My $.02 The newer trucks with electronics are getting so much more complicated, and Better, that it's truly hard to develop something that truly performs better. Example would be the Gen2 vs Gen3 FOX Live Valve. The gen3 uses a 3.1" shock, vs the Gen2 3.0. The internal piston and Internal...
I have a very slight rub with Method 17" 0 offset. 1" Eibach Springs. Full lock only on drivers side, and it barely touches the lower, rear, inner part of the body.
I do have 37x12.5x 17" Toyo RT Trail tires, which are one of the larger 37's out there.
I’ve had my 2022 since January 2023. Rapid red. In 3000 miles of driving, 100 miles offroad, I’ve got no less than 8 rock chips on the hood. All are down to the white undercoat. @Ford should be ashamed.
I drove my Jeep Gladiator 55,000 miles. 10,000 off road miles. 1 windshield replaced and...
Correct, the 37 sits about .25" taller. And despite what people will say, it is not plug and play. Will it plug in, yes. Will it work, the shocks will move, but you may get a ride light. The vehicles are set up with different algorithms, and the Live Valve and truck sensors sending info back...
Correct...Almost. Although the 37PP front shocks have 1" shafts vs 7/8 on the 35", and a slightly different spring perch position. Not that big of a deal, however the 37PP shock is valved slightly different and runs its own algorithm that is different from the 35".
I honestly do not understand the need or want to take off something that is electronically tied to the vehicle and replace it with something that is passive. I do understand the want to upgrade Our vehicles, but what a lot might think is an upgrade is actually the opposite.
I can confirm a...
FOX is probably Q3 or Q4 on the aftermarket development. Honestly, there is so much technology that is tied into the OE shocks, not only in the electronic, but the pressures these shocks are working with on the ”Live Valve” it becomes a real challenge to improve upon the OE spec. Once the...
I just added the 1” EiBach springs to my new gen3. It rides great. Very comfortable. Not noticeably stiff, until under braking, where the front feeling like it dives less. Very close to level, with a very slight front rake. Just the way I wanted it.
honestly, I’ve seen that question but not sure what it even means or where I’d get it done in San Diego. I work for FOX, and have never heard this needed to be done. The shocks are internal bypass, so position sensitive on the valving, in which 1” would not take you out of the ride zone. But not...
I just got them installed today. 37”12.5 17. Ride smooth on the road. Look like they’ll work good off road. Most Toyo’s do. I ran the RT‘s for 50,000 miles on my Gladiator. Great tire. only issue some have is they are Heavy, but VERY durable. I like durable.
New member here and was looking everywhere for pics of the new Eibach 1” front springs. Had installed earlier this week, with the new Toyo RT Trail 37” tires and Method 305 Double Black wheels. The Gen 3s sit slightly higher stock than the Gen 2s. So the 1” gets it VERY close to level...
