Appreciate the input guys. I find it interesting how hyper-vigilant ford is being on raptor claims compared to other vehicles. It also appears that the dealer does not have much say on the claims and it is up to ford who has apparently been denying claims more on raptors than other vehicles...

That is my whole point, you have named one manufacturer. If you compare 17" vs 18" tires you will find many more offroad tire options by more manufacturers in 17".

It is hard to beat 17's for serious offroad use and 17's have many tire options for offroad. Much fewer offroad tire options with 18's.

I have spoken to a couple of ford dealers that have been mod friendly. They have told me that they are being questioned by ford on all raptor claims and have to wait on approval by ford. Apparently ford asks if there are any mods, signs of abuse and have to send pics many times. Alot of times...
